FUJIFILM Announces Fujifilm Masterpiece Award Winners

Back in July 2017, Fujifilm announced the re-launch of the long standing Fujifilm Masterpiece award program. After the 1st quarter winners here, now we have the next ones.

FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES FUJIFILM MASTERPIECE AWARD WINNERS

October 5, 2018, Valhalla, N.Y. – FUJIFILM North America Corporation is excited to announce the third quarter winners of the FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award for photographic excellence at the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) affiliate print competitions. This award is administered by state and regional affiliates of the PPA exclusively for the members of these organizations, and is available to affiliates in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award is the the highest honor for PPA print competitions that is given by Fujifilm. The award is given for prints in three separate categories–Wedding, Portrait and Illustrative–that reflects the highest level of professional photography. Only prints with scores above 80 meet the criteria for the award.

The following photographer has been awarded the FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award at the Texas Professional Photographers Association Print Competition:

  • Susan Thweatt of Susan Thweatt Photography, 429 Ward Ave, Bellevue, KY 41073 for the photograph titled “Ethereal Morning” in the Illustrative category with a score of 92. The award-winning print was printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type PDN by BWC, 616 South Sherman St, Ste 100, Richardson, Texas 75081.

The following photographer has been awarded the FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award twice at the Iowa Professional Photographers Association Print Competition:

  • Ben Shirk of Ben Shirk Photography, 323 Cedar Street, Wilton, IA 52778 for the photograph titled “Twisted Theurgist” in the Portrait category with a score of 96. The award-winning print was printed on genuine Fujicolor Crystal Archive Pearl Paper by McKenna Pro, 2815 Falls Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701.
  • Ben Shirk of Ben Shirk Photography, 323 Cedar Street, Wilton, IA 52778 for the photograph titled “Make a Wish” in the Portrait category with a score of 91. The award-winning print was printed on genuine Fujicolor Crystal Archive Pearl Paper by McKenna Pro, 2815 Falls Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701.

The following photographer has been awarded the FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award twice at the Southwest Professional Photographers Association Print Competition:

  • Amy Shertzer of Amy Shertzer Photography, 15986 Bridle Ridge Drive, Monument, CO 80132 for the photograph titled “Dreams of Old Europe” in the Illustrative category with a score of 82. The award-winning print was printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type CN by American Color Imaging, 715 E 18th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.
  • Amy Shertzer of Amy Shertzer Photography, 15986 Bridle Ridge Drive, Monument, CO 80132 for the photograph titled “Night Shift” in the Illustrative category with a score of 80. The award-winning print was printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type CN by American Color Imaging, 715 E 18th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.

The following photographer has been awarded the FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award at the Montana Professional Photographers Association Print Competition:

  • Kathy Wierda of Kathy Wierda Photography, 20775 Norris Road, Manhattan, MO 59741 for the photograph titled “Loving the Country Life” in the Portrait category with a score of 100. The award-winning print was printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type PDN by H&H Color Lab, 8906 E. 67th St, Raytown, MO 64133.

The following photographer has been awarded the FUJIFILM Masterpiece Award at the Florida Professional Photographers Association Print Competition:

  • Ginny B. Otto of Photographic Artistry, 13484 Princewood Court, Spring Hill, FL 34609 for the photograph titled “I’m Getting Too Old for This” in the Illustrative category with a score of 80. The award-winning print was printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Super Type PDN Paper by American Color Imaging, 715 E 18th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.
