New firmware (v2.60) is released for Fringer EF-FX Pro III, EF-FX Pro II and EF-FX II.

Sigma Japan Suspends Orders for Entire DC DN Lens Lineup

Sigma Japan just announced the suspension of orders for the following DC DN APS-C lenses:

So the entire APS-C lineup orders are on hold in Japan. I don’t know if this is valid for the rest of the world too, but for now they seem to be still available for order at stores like BHphoto.

The motivation they give is strange: the demand exceeds Sigma’s expectations.

So I wonder what happened. If all of a sudden demand for Sigma APS-C lenses rose strongly, or if maybe Sigma’s production capacity dropped for reasons we do not know.

Fujifilm USA Launches X100VI Limited Edition Raffle

Fujifilm USA has launched the Raffle to enter the chance to win the Fujifilm X100VI limited edition.

You have time until April 21 to join the raffle.

There are 200 X100VI LE available this time out of the 300 units available for purchase originally. So a total of 200 orders were cancelled and are now part of this raffle.

Hundreds of scalpers are in tears right now, but somehow I can’t feel all too much compassion for them ;).

Fujifilm X Summit Officially Announced for May 16

If you follow FujiRumors, then this won’t really come as a surprise.

In fact, a source told us that Fujifilm would announce the Fujifilm GFX100SII around mid May. Well, we now have the date. It will happen on:

  • May 16 at 1AM New York Time
  • May 16 at 7 AM Berlin
  • May 15 at 10 PM San Francisco Time
