Fujifilm X-T3 Discontinued (but it Resisted 2+ Years After it Was Replaced by Fujifilm X-T4)

Back in September 2021, Fujifilm quietly introduced the Fujifilm X-T3 WW. The Fujifilm X-T3 “worldwide” version is an X-T3 sold without battery charger!

It was the best deal on an X-T3 you can get, but now it is starting to run out of stock forever, as for example BHphoto has marked it as discontinued.

The X-T3 was a massive hit for Fujifilm, and even though it has been replaced by the Fujifilm X-T4 in February 2020, it was able to stay on the market until now.

It’s actually incredible how long it could “resist” and keep up selling on the market despite the X-T4 with IBIS being launched 2+ years ago.

However, now it’s time also for the Fujifilm X-T3 to retire. The Fujifilm X-T4 will keep the sales for the X-T series going, at least until we get the Fujifilm X-T5.

Fujifilm X-H2S and X-H2 Sensor Names Leaked (IMX695 and IMX795)

The story is this.

I’ve received the supposed sensor sheets for the X-H2S and X-H2 from an anonymous source.

I was dubious, so I didn’t share them, as we don’t do clickbait here.

The anonymous source saw that FujiRumors could not be tricked into publishing it and after a few days shared the sensor sheet of the X-H2S with the whole world.

The whole world was hungry for clicks, hence published it.

At this point also the clickbait-reluctant FujiRumors had to publish it too, but I warned readers I am dubious about it.

Well, a trusted source wanted to dissipate any doubt, and passed me something, that lead me to write this follow up article.

And today we can also unveil the names for those sensors:

  • Fujifilm X-H2S: IMX695
  • Fujifilm X-H2: IMX795

Get ready, as now fake sensor sheets with those IMX names will start appearing on the web. ;)

Anyway, I know what you think….

You think, “who the heck cares about the name of the sensor! But is that some sort of sheet showing a side-by-side specs comparison of the X-H2S and X-H2 sensor?”

Oh yes, it is a side by side specs comparison. And as you can imagine, I’ve asked for more details to my source and the permission to eventually share it.

Even with Covid on holidays, FujiRumors is always at work for you ;).

Let’s Talk Kaizen: about What Changed, What Didn’t, and The Choice Fujifilm Had to Make

Recently a Fujifilm manager said that they are committed to bring X-H2S autofocus features as much as possible to older models (X-T3/X-T4).

So what, is Kaizen coming back?

Well, Kaizen never left. It was just on semi-pause for a while, and for an excellent reason I might say.

Let me explain.

Fujinon XF150-600mm f/5.6-8

AmazonUS has the Fujinon XF150-600mmF5.6-8 in stock here (limited number, shipped and sold by AmazonUS).

For a short time it was listed for sale for $1,199 only (reg. $1,999) and I know some FR-readers grabbed it for that price. It was sold via Camera West, which we will see if they will honor that.

Also in case of the XF150-600mm BHphoto expects it to leave the warehouse on July 15. Adorama has still July 7 as date.
