Stories of the Day

CHERNOBYL: Nate Robert: This post shows that a non-weather-sealed XE2s can survive three entire days in the middle of a snowy, freezing winter, inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone – a radioactive wasteland. After my X-Pro1 stopped working in Chernobyl, I picked up a good deal on the old-model XE2s and have started using the Fuji 16/1.4 – an exceptionally crisp lens, perhaps not as characteristic in rendering as the 18mm, but I do like the extra 2mm.” Check out the story: Inside a Nuclear Reactor – The OMFG Chernobyl Tour

ANTARTICA: Richard Simko: “I had a priviledge to join a trip to Antarctica on a tall ship. I have just recently finished the 7 part serios on my blog covering the trip and of course some photographes. Perhaps you might be interested. Among 55 people including crew, there were only 5 mirrorless cameras and only one Fujifilm. Mine :)” Here are the 7 parts: Ushuaia, Meet the Ship, Crossing the Drake Passage and first landing, South Shetland Islands, Sailing towards Antarctic Peninsula, Last days and farewell Antarctica, Gallery.

X AMBASSADOR’S LIFE: Flemming Bo Jensen tells about his five year as a Fujifilm X-series camera ambassador. Read the whole story at flemmingbojensen.
