Is it the Fujifilm X-T6?
Nope.
Then it must be the X-H3, right?
Not that one either.
Ah, so surely the X100VII!
Forget about it.
The camera people ask me about the most — and the one I get the longest wish lists for in my inbox — is the Fujifilm X-Pro4.
And since so many of you have shared your hopes and ideas, it’s time for a dedicated Fujifilm X-Pro4 Wishlist Roundup on which I share some of your messages.
They include the very controversial opinion to remove the optical viewfinder and go the Leica M EV1 path. If Leica was brave enough to make this step, why shouldn’t Fujifilm?
But, as you can read here, some also want the complete opposite: get rid of the EVF and only keep the OVF (+ERF).
In my opinion Fujifilm should not ditch the OVF. On the contrary, they should make it even better. And early rumors suggest they are indeed doing just that. But at the same time do not remove the EVF. So, in short: an improved hybrid viewfinder is the way to go according to me.

I have a suggestion. Do a poll about the next generation xpro and ask readers if they prefer to keep the ovf or would like an evf only model like the new Leica M EV1.
I personally think we can ditch the ovf. I find it a nuisance/novelty and prefer the form of the XE much better. I just wish there was a more upscale version of the XE with WR and large battery, two card slots, etc. Ergo: Xpro EV1.

My personal opinion on what the X-Pro4 should be: I think Fujifilm should bring the X-Pro line back to what made it special, a pure photography experience that focuses on shooting, not specs. What it needs: • Dual magnification in the OVF like the X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 • A clean, simple menu system that prioritizes photography over tech clutter • A 26MP sensor, 40MP isn’t necessary since most Fujifilm sensors don’t use AA filters • Keep the ERF, it’s part of what makes the X-Pro feel alive
• Sleek body similar to the X100VI
• Less buttons What it doesn’t need: • 4K video or heavy video specs, this should be a photographer’s camera first • Overloaded menus that distract from the process • The X-Pro3’s single magnification OVF, it limits usability with wide lenses like the 18mm • The hidden rear screen, clever idea but not practical for everyone • Dual card slots, one reliable slot is enough • IBIS, it’s nice but unnecessary for this type of camera • A film simulation dial, keep that in the menus. The shutter speed and exposure compensation dials are already perfect as they are. The X-Pro4 should bring back the tactile simplicity that made the first Pro cameras timeless. Less tech, more intention. Less clutter, more soul

Fuji should keep the OVF and ERF but scrap the EVF entirely. The X-Pro series should be photography first, not a hybrid experiment. I’ve owned both the X-Pro1 and X-Pro3 and never once used the EVF. The OVF and ERF already capture what the X-Pro is supposed to be about, seeing the world, not watching it through a screen.
Video on this camera feels pointless. It takes away from what makes the X-Pro line special. Fuji should focus on the tactile, intentional side of photography, the part that connects you to the act of shooting, not the specs.
Fuji also needs a Hide option in the menu system. Let photographers simplify what they see. If I only want film simulations and photo-related settings, I should be able to turn off everything else ( Like video & its related specs ). No clutter, no distractions, just photography.
The X-Pro doesn’t need to do everything. It just needs to do photography perfectly.

Same style, 26MP sensor. Photographers first software. Hybrid viewfinder enhanced massively: brighter, bigger, more informational.
