Fuji XF1 to be announced very soon…
I just found two new pictures of the new XF1 compact camera. What changes compared to the previous leaks is just the color ![]()
The XF1 should be announced within the next 2-3 days!

9 months ago |I think price will be the key. I can’t see anybody wanting to pay a premium for it in a mass market retailer. I give it till January 2013 before it hits the discount bins.

9 months ago |but it does have a 2/3″ EXR sensor…. my guess would be similar to the X10, maybe a bit less.
maybe this is targeting to the S100, LX5 market?

9 months ago |how does this compare to Sony’s RX100? better or worse based on what we know?

RR
9 months ago |Well you will be able to buy about 5 of them for the price of the Sony to start with. The Sony is a FF sensor camera this is a p&s sensor camera. A large p&s sensor but a p&s sensor none the less. Comparing this with the Sony is a complete waste of time you may as well compare it with a Hasselblad for all the practical benefit you would get.

Not sure why people think it looks cheap. I rather like it, especially in brown and silver.

9 months ago |Sorry yes I was thinking of the RX1. Why do Sony have such similar naming conventions?

It will be a serious alternative to the Canon S100/S105.
A wonderful compact version of the X10.
We can safely assume that it has the new sensor.
Good job Fuji!

1″ > 2/3″ > 1/1.7″
The RX100 will sensor will be significantly bigger, meanwhile, the minor difference between the 2/3″ & the 1/1.7″ probably isn’t that great.
I love my 1/2″ Fuji EXR P&S, great dynamic range from the EXR, pixel combining feature for low-light is also good. can’t imagine having a bigger sensor!

I am switching to Sony RX-1….enough of Fuji’s small sensors already!!!!
