When the [shoplink 21553]Fujifilm X-T1[/shoplink] hit the market, back in February, the first batch of cameras had two problems: the light leak and the fiddly d-pad buttons. Fuji rapidly fixed the light leak, but not the buttons. To be clear: Fujifilm improved the buttons later on and now you have that nice “click” when you press them. But those who grabbed one of the very first cameras on the market, are still struggling with the fiddly buttons.

But back in May I told you that Fuji was working on a paid button upgrade for early production X-T1’s. Well, the rumor seems to be correct, at least in Japan. X-shooter Balbo42 got his X-T1 buttons fixed for about 8000¥ ~ 75$.
