LEAKED: Trusted Source Unveils When Fujifilm X100V Successor Will Come

Fujifilm X100V Replacement

Amazon Prime Deal Pages

We told you yesterday that you should not expect the Fujifilm X100V replacement to come in 2023, hence it is not one of the two registered Fujifilm cameras (FF230001and FF230002).

Today we confirm it and we have received permission from sources to tell you this:

The Fujifilm X100V replacement will be announced in early 2024!

RUMOR: No Fujifilm X100V Successor in 2023 (X200, X100VI or X100W-hatever)

Everything is Possible (almost)

FujiRumors broke the rumors:

But we also know one more thing. Fujifilm two registrations filed so far: the Fujifilm FF230001 and FF230002.

Now, assuming that one of the two will be the Fujifilm GFX100 replacement, this leaves all possible options open for the second one.

Well, not really all options. I mean, I simply can’t see a Fujifilm X-H3 or Fujifilm X-H3s coming in September, as those cameras are hardly 1 year old (or less).  And also not the Fujifilm X-T6 or Fujifilm X-S30.

But other than that, we can hope for:

  • a Fujifilm X-T5s with 26MP stacked sensor of X-H2S
  • a Fujifilm X-Pro4 maybe with some curious solutions as many hope for example a monochrome sensor
  • a Fujifilm X-E5 which is not a dead line according to Fujifilm managers
  • the long awaited Fujifilm X-T40
  • the much wished Fujifilm X80 or Fujifilm XF20
  • the revival of Fuji’s entry level cameras with the Fujifilm X-T300, Fujifilm X-A8, Fujifilm X-A30 or Fujifilm X-M2
  • less likely in my opinion the Fujifilm GFX100S successor, Fujifilm GFX50R successor or Fujifilm GFX50SII successor, as I can’t see Fuji launching two GFX cameras on the same day (they never did that in the past, but never say never)

And in fact, I asked you to vote on which camera you’d like to get on September 12 and you can see the results here.

X100V successor is NOT possible

At this point you’ve noticed something: there is no Fujifilm X100V successor (X200, X100VI, X100 whatever it will be called) in the list.

Why?

Well, because despite being one of your top wished cameras (second only to another camera), and despite fake rumors already being shared about the X100V to come on September 12, I can now tell you with 110% certainty that there will not be any Fujifilm X100V replacement coming in 2023.

Trust me on this guys. No X100V successor in 2023.

I guess Fujifilm has no hurry at all to come out with a successor, given the fact, explained by Fujifilm managers, that if the world would stop to order X100V today, it would still take them 3 months to be able to ship all X100V orders placed until yesterday.

Seen from this perspective, the biggest problem of the Fujifilm X100VI (or whatever) is the terrific success of the X100V.

Feeling Lucky?

I feel lucky and will click the links to see if the X100V is in stock” :)

Fujifilm X Summit on September 12: What Camera are You Hoping for to Come? VOTE NOW

So, we just leaked the date of the next Fujifilm X Summit, which will happen on September 12.

Now I am curious to know what you guys are hoping for to come.

That’s why I have now launched a survey that includes plausible, less plausible and borderline impossible options.

I’ll not include 110% impossible cameras, which would be for example a Fujifilm X-H3 or Fujifilm X-H3s, as those cameras are hardly 1 year old (or less). Or the Fujifilm X-T6 or Fujifilm X-S30.

What we will inlcude are the Fujifilm X-T5s (X-T5 with 26MP stacked sensor of X-H2S), Fujifilm X-Pro4, Fujifilm X-E5, Fujifilm X-T40, Fujifilm X100V successor (X200, X100VI, X100 whatever), Fujifilm X80, Fujifilm XF20, Fujifilm X-T300, Fujifilm X-A8, Fujifilm X-A30, Fujifilm X-M2, Fujifilm GFX100 successor, Fujifilm GFX100S successor, Fujifilm GFX50R successor and Fujifilm GFX50SII successor.

I will give you two options to vote on, because Fujifilm has so far registered two yet to be released cameras.

Have fun voting :)

On September 12 I would like to Get the Following Cameras (max 2 votes)

New Firmware Beats New Gear :: New Fujifilm Camera Registered for September :: XApp is Out :: Top on YouTube & More – Top May Posts

Here are the top 10 most read articles in May.

However, I have excluded all the X-S20 rumors from the list, as at this point it’s not a problem if you missed them, since the real thing is now out and you can get all the details and specs at the dedicated pages.

Interestingly, despite all the rumors and new gear, the most read article was about the new firmware updates, which shows that sometimes we want to get improved what we already have rather than new gear.

  1. New Firmware for 13 Fujifilm X/GFX Cameras: Huge Autofocus Boost for X-T5/X-H2, ISO on Command Dial of X-H2/S, XApp Support and More

May was also my most active month on YouTube so far.

In this case we will include also the rumor related videos, simply because  many of them are filmed while I was out on several locations around my home and you might enjoy to watch a bit of the Dolomites, the Road of Wine and so forth.

How to Use ChatGPT to Create Film Simulations Recipes

Fellow Fujifilm Film Simulation member Cris created his own film simulation recipe using ChatGPT.

Today I asked ChatGPT to create a Fuji Film Recipe for the GFX50R that mimic’d Kodak Tri-X Pushed One Stop and it created me a pretty respectable emulation.

If you want to check out the results, go to the dedicated post in the film simulation group.

SonyAlphaRumors guy Andrea found this so cool that he used the ChatGPT to create his own recipe on his personal Fujifilm GFX100S. He shared the results in the video you can see above.

Good that Fujifilm cameras have so many aspects you can fine-tune directly in camera (Clarity, Grain, etc). ;)

Interestingly it works also if you ask to emulate the film on a Sony cameras. I hope Andrea will compare the results between Sony and Fuji and tell us which ones are closer to the real film.

As far as I can see from the few samples visible on the film simulation group and at Andrea’s YouTube channel, the recipe they got are different to the ones of well known Fuji X Weekly.

Since there are many people and websites offering film simulations recipes (for example OneCameraOneLens), maybe the software looks at all film simulations recipes with the same name and makes a mix out of them, or maybe it really just guesses the best settings based on the characteristics of the film.

I don’t know how it works, but it’s curious you can create such simulations also via ChatGPT.

Fujifilm X-Pro Line Discontinued? Let’s Clarify it in View of a Possible Fujifilm X-Pro4

I recently reported that the Fujifilm X-Pro3 was discontinued at several stores and also Fujifilm distributors in some countries said the same. You can read more here.

This news kind of took a life of its own, as now people go around saying that FujiRumors said the X-Pro line had been discontinued.

So let me clarify.

The news was only about the X-Pro3 being discontinued, not the entire X-Pro line.

So, FujiRumors never said the X-Pro4 will never come.

On the contrary. Personally I believe there will be an X-Pro4. Not because of rumors and whispers, but because Fujifilm itself has mentioned it as one of the camera lines that will continue (also in this case).

The X-Pro line, so says Fujifilm, will be the refined luxury line of Fujifilm. I don’t know what they exactly mean by that, but certainly it sounds expensive. And probably they will continue to make brave design choices that will give it a very exclusive feel. But it’s pure guesswork of mine.

Anyway, that’s why I think there will be one day a Fujifilm X-Pro4.

Rumors and Discussions

New York City Center of Fujifilm World: X Summit on September 8 and Fujikina on September 10

New York City is about to become the center of the Fujifilm world soon.

But I’ve noticed some misunderstandings. So let me clarify.

In the past, Fujifilm called their product launch events “Fujikina” (with reference to the former largest photography fair Photokina). But after Photokina was axed, Fujifilm changed the name for the launch events to “Fujifilm X Summit“.

But suddenly, Fujikina is back. In fact, there will be one on September 10 in New York. So some people thought that this will be the day when Fujifilm will announce new gear.

However, that won’t be the case. The latest and greatest Fujifilm gear will be announced during the X summit on September 8, which will also take place in New York.

Here are the events:

  • Sep. 8 at 2PM EST – Fujifilm X Summit with new product announcements
  • Sep. 10 all day – Fujikina with photowalks, stage talks, workshops and more

So, the hottest day will be September 8 at 2PM New York time. The X summit will take place online, new products will be announced, and of course we will stream it live here on FujiRumors.

Then, on September 10, there will the Fujikina, with workshops, photowalks, stage talks and more. We reported about it here with links where you can register for free.

But guys, you don’t have to wait for September 8 or September 10 to have fun, as lots and lots of rumors will drop well before those dates ;)

Nice and original rumors of course ;).

“Sony A7IV will Always Have a Special Place in My Heart, But I am Selling All my Sony Gear for Fujifilm X-H2S” and Here is Why

Maybe you have noticed that lately we tried to highlight also reviews from smaller youtube channels, along with the usual big ones.

Now, I won’t enter the discussion on why it seems that at least some of the big channels have a conflictual relationship with the Fujifilm managment, leading them to either ignore Fujifilm cameras (some never reported about the launch of the X-H2S) or to review Fuji gear… how can I say that… to review it not with the same care as they do with other brands.

But that’s not the article, where we want to talk about it.

What you need to know now is: we will keep covering the reviews of huge channels (in case they cover Fujfiilm, but highlight when they make errors like here and here), but also highlight smaller channels every now and then.

Small channels might not have the best studios, lights and audio, but they are often run by truely passionate photographers, who probably shoot more pictures with their gear out on the field than many of the huge channels combined. So their opinion, at least in my eyes, has just the same value the one of massive youtube channel.

So today we talk about TC, who owns the Sony A7IV and lots of lenses, but after his comparison with the Fujifilm X-H2S, he decided to sold off his entire Sony full frame kit. If you want to know why, you can find the video below as well as a summary.

Why are You Scared of PSAM? ;)

Before we go ahead, just a little consideration of myself. Why are you scared of PSAM?

Look, TC switched back to Fujifilm among the others because it has a PSAM dial and he loves it. So now we have a former Sony shooter coming back to the Fujifilm camp thanks to the Fujifilm X-H2S.

And isn’t that what we want? And what Fuji needs? More people shooting with their gear?

What damage does it do to us retro lovers?

Fujifilm has basically already said that there will be a Fujifilm X-T5, X-E5, X-T40, X-Pro4, X100V successor… and all of them with the retro feel we all love. That’s plenty of options that will continue to exist for us.

And now let’s see what motivated TC to sell all his Sony gear to switch to Fujifilm.

Let’s Talk Kaizen: about What Changed, What Didn’t, and The Choice Fujifilm Had to Make

Recently a Fujifilm manager said that they are committed to bring X-H2S autofocus features as much as possible to older models (X-T3/X-T4).

So what, is Kaizen coming back?

Well, Kaizen never left. It was just on semi-pause for a while, and for an excellent reason I might say.

Let me explain.

Fujifilm vs The Rest
