The Fujifilm GFX Eterna is low listed at BHphoto here.
And so is also the Fujinon GF32-90mmF3.5 is listed at BHphoto here., which will also come in 2025. At BHphoto it does not say it is f/3.5, but we can clearly see that on the mockups shared at the latest photography fair.
Pre-orders will open sometimes in 2025 for both of these.
It’s happening: one of the most popular Fujinon XF lenses of all time is about to retire.
In fact, the Fujinon XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR starts to be marked as discontinued at stores in Japan as reported by the Japanese website asobinet.
This is inevitable since now we got the Fujinon XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR II, which is smaller, lighter and optically even a bit better. And it costs the same as the older version.
You can still find the XF16-55mmF2.8 MKI in stock in USA, Canada and Europe, but I guess these will be the last samples available and honestly quite hard to sell for Fujifilm if they do not decide to offer it with a substantial price drop.
Recently Viltrox launched their first LAB series lens, the Viltrox 135mmF1.8 LAB.
The LAB series will be Viltrox top of the line range of lenses and so far the Viltrox 135mmF1.8 is available only for Full Frame.
But now Viltrox has said in the comments to a post on their social media that there will be an X mount version coming soon, too.
I certainly hope this wasn’t a typo or mistake. You can never be too sure how much the people managing the company’s social media actually know.
From all reviews I have seen so far, the Viltrox 135mmF1.8 LAB is a great lens. The only downside for me is its rather massive size and weight.
There are full frame equivalent lenses such as the Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM, which are significantly smaller and lighter, but of course they come in at a much higher price tag.
