Fujifilm X-Half Coming with about 10mm lens and f/2.8 aperture

Share

When we leaked the very first image of the Fujifilm X-Half, the resolution was quite low and some parts of it were hidden behind red markings.

For example, we could not read the focal length of the lens and only badly read its aperture.

But today I can be more specific.

The Fujifilm X-Half will come with an around 10mm lens and an f/2.8 aperture. That’s according to our trusted sources.

Considering it sports a 1″ sensor, this means it is a about 27mm FF equivalent lens.

Fujifilm X-Half Coming with New “Film Roll Mode” and This is How it Works

Share

The Fujifilm X-Half will be quite more experiential than what we think.

Not only will it be a digital half frame camera, and we explained how it works here.

It will come with other new concepts, one of them we can explain to you today.

The Fujifilm X-Half has a mode that, when enabled, will not allow you to change settings or see pictures before your reach a certain number of pictures (for example 36 pictures).

Now, I don’t know how Fujifilm is going to call this mode, but I’ll call it the “film roll mode”, because, like shooting on film, you can’t review your images immediately or swap rolls after each shot.

Camera RawX adds Support for Older Fujifilm RAF Formats

Share

Last year we told you about Camera RawX, a little software that provides support for Quick Look and thumbnails generations for Fujifilm compressed RAW files in Finder that are not natively supported by macOS.

After our post, the software became a top downloaded photo App on the Apple Store, showing how appreciated and needed this was among the Fujifilm community.

I have downloaded the App (and paid full price for it) myself.

Well, now the latest update 1.1.5 adds support for older Fujifilm RAF formats.

Fujifilm X-M5 Black Kit Shipping

Share

I have received messages from FR-readers (thanks), that also the black Fujifilm X-M5 kit has started shipping at BHphoto.

The black Fujifilm X-M5 is one of three cameras Fujifilm has officially declared will be pulled from pre-orders now because of the US tariffs.

Also the Fujifilm GFX100RF and the X100VI suffer the same faith.

Retro looking flash lights are quite popular as proven by the Godox Lux Retro Flash lineup (full list of Godox Retro offerings below).

Although one of my favorite lights launched late last year remains the TTArtisan Mini RGB LED light with film canister look.
