If you are in Rome in these holy Easter days, don’t miss to check out Max Angeloni’s exhibition about the Way of the Cross in one of the arguably most important baroque churches worldwide, the Basilica di Sant’Andrea della Valle (the exhibition ends on the 8th of April.)

X-Photographer Max Angeloni used exclusively Fuji X gear for this important assignment: the Fujifilm X-T1 and three lenses (23mm, 35mm and 56mm… and two 180 Watt lights).

If you can’t go to Rome, take a look at his work at riflessifotografici (translation).

NEW FIRMWARE 3.10 for X-T1

AF performance with the new firmware at johncaz: “My quick and dirty testing shows that there is an overall small and bearable noticeable boost in AF performance with all three lenses so it’s not a placebo effect.” /

INTERVIEW

There is an interview with Fujifilm Japan’s Kunio Aoyama and Hiroto Nakata at mirrorlessons. Here some excerpts (FYI, here are the interviews with Mr. Iida Toshihisa & Makoto Oishi):

– NEW LENSES: “We are trying to understand where the lack of coverage is. For example, tilt-shift lenses or fisheye lenses or extreme telephoto lenses. […] Maybe when we announce the next generation of cameras, we can announce the next roadmap.”

– ORGANIC SENSOR: “We are continuing to develop the sensor. […] The organic sensor itself is designed not only for cameras but also for other applications. So originally the technology and development is not for digital cameras. […] We are trying to figure out if the sensor is best for cameras, video or other hardware products. We are still studying and developing the package.

Make sure to check out the whole interview at mirrorlessons… and just a little note about the Organic Sensor. A Fuji Guy said to bigheadtaco at youtube (minute 13:00) that there are some challenges in the production the organic sensor, but ones these issues are fixed “we are going to see an entire new page of sensor technology!”

The Problem with the organic sensor? As shared in this rumor, it could be due to too much battery drain and heat production..

[UPDATE: Article Removed]

First off: the grain of salt is mandatory! We have seen stores announcing Lightroom 6 for the 9th of March here, then others on March 25 here and, for a short time, BestBuy accepted pre-orders on it here.

Well, this time we have another leaked release date coming from a Dutch store called cameratools. According to their website, the sales of Lightroom 6 will start on April 21 and it will cost €129 (confirming the price shared by FNAC in mid February).

Adobe… I’d appreaciate a little present for my birthday and desire an Iridient alike X-Trans support ;)

No April Fool’s Trick :: Fujifilm X-PRO2 will come in September / October (sources: Tom Grill & SLRClub)!

Share

 photo ddda_zps0312o52k.png

Earlier today I posted an April’s fool Trick about a leaked image of a prototype X-PRO2. The guys behind this funny joke told me yesterday that they’d appreciate the support of FujiHumors… and I didn’t want to be the spoilsport ;).

But now let’s go back to FujiRumors… and this time it’s about the X-PRO2 release. We now have 2 more confirmations that the X-PRO2 will probably come in late 2015 (September or October).

SEPTEMBER: According to Tom Grill (aboutphotography-tomgrill) the X-PRO2 could be released in September. In an article written on March 23, he says:

The impetus for this post came because I heard last week that the X-Pro1 would be replaced by a newer X-Pro2, probably in September of this year.”

A part from the rumor, it’s overall a good read. Check it out at aboutphotography-tomgrill (found via macfilos).

OCTOBER: DicaHub spotted (on March 31) a slightly different release date. It was shared by SLRClub user Daniel SON. Here is the translated text:

I’m not a user of Fujifilm digital camera. I have a job related photography and am working in U.S.A. For this time when I visited WPPI at Las Vegas, I heard this from Fujifilm booth. Because I was considering to use Fujifilm cameras for shooting, I had tested X-Pro1 and X-T1 at Fujifilm booth and talked with Fujjifilm rep. He said X-T1, recently launched, might be better than X-Pro1 in overall performance and new model in X-Pro1 line is ready to be launced about Oct. of this year. Because he is staff of Fujifilm, might his words be sure? I bring this information because I think there might be someone to get information.”

There is light at the end of the tunnel… and I can see the contours of the Fujifilm X-PRO2… under my X-mas tree … let’s hope …  ;)
