Fujifilm X Half: The Secondary Screen Explained (and It’s Quite Cool)

Share

When the Fujifilm shared the first image of the backside of the Fujifilm X Half, we could notice a small vertical secondary screen on the left of the camera with “PROVIA” written on it.

Well, today we can tell you a bit more about it.

I don’t know if Fujifilm was “inspired” by this Canon camera, which first introduced the concept of a “Multi-function touch bar” on a mirrorless camera, but I guess we can say Fujifilm took that concept and enhanced it.

Here is why.

That little screen is an LCD touch screen. You can use to swipe and select your film simulation, but also to select/change menu settings. I don’t know if you can do even more with it, like zooming into an image or other things.

And it’s different to the little screen we find on the Fujifilm X-Pro3, which also shows the film simulation, but it is not a touch screen and you can’t use it to swipe through film simulations or settings.

I look forward to see that little touch screen in action in just a few days.

LEAKED: Fujifilm X Half Hands-On Image

Share

Here is another image of the Fujifilm X Half which will be announced soon.

Apparently it has been leaked at a Vlog video, but I don’t know the original source, so all I can do is to share the image that I have received.

The image does not really say much. What I can say is that the image that we leaked a while ago gives away more information, such as the lens details and you can even see the name printed on the top of the camera.

However, this image shows it in the hands, and we can see that it is a really small camera.

The B&H Photo Bild Expo will take place in NYC on June 17-18 at the Javits Center in NYC.

In times where photography fairs are being canceled all over the globe (such as the PhotoPlus in New York), it’s nice to see B&H Photo counteracting to this trend by launching its own huge photography event.

By the way, Fujifilm is among the few “platinum” top sponsors of this event. But there are hundreds of brands joining and sponsoring the event.

Fujifilm FF250001 and FF250003 Registered: Fujifilm X-E5 and One More Camera

Share

Two Fujifilm camera registrations have now surfaced (again) on the web and have been shared by E8M at the Chinese social media platform Weibo here.

One of the two has to be the Fujifilm X-E5, which will come this summer. More likely it will be the FF250001, given the better Wireless.

The other one could be pretty much anything else. The single frequency wireless suggest a lower end model, though. The Fujifilm X-M5 has single frequency, too.

There is also the FF240003 registered, but for that one we have detailed sketches and we know it will be the Fujifilm X Half.
