Fujifilm X-T6 with Geolocation :: X-Pro4 Thumb Winder :: Recipe Sharing via QR Code :: New Lens Hood for XF150-600 – FR-Readers Wishlist Corner

This is Part 2 of the FR-readers wishlist corner. You can read Part 1 here.

by Craig

[NOTE: here on FujiRumors we investigated the idea if the X-Pro4 should feature a thumb winder similar to the one of the Fujifilm X half. FR-reader Craig added the following question to it.]

Patrick, would it be possible to add a survey that says: “Would you like a REAL, MECHANICAL thumb winder, like the one on the Epson RD-1? NOT a multi-functional. But one that is actually necessary to take the next photo on the X-Pro4 (or whatever they will name it). OR, perhaps, on a specialty Fuji rangefinder. I’d buy it if they did it right like Epson.

may I suggest a post about a topic for a post that may be not so important, but nevertheless bothers me since the introduction of the Fuji XF 150-600 mm zoom lens?

It’s that ugly black, cheap plastic lens hood that was delivered with that lens. It seems that Fuji included a new designed lens hood with the XF 500 – and wouldn’t it be nice if they would offer an accessory lens hood in the same design for the XF 150-600? Fuji offers square metal premium lens hoods for their XF 18 / 23 /33 lenses as an alternative – so why not a better premium hood for the XF 150-600?

List of Fujifilm Price Hikes Revealed – Nearly All X/GFX Gear Affected, But X-E5 Might Be Safe

We told you that Fujifilm will soon increase prices.

We have now additional details (not yet official, so take it as a rumor).

Price increase should start August 1st (same day when the new tariff-wave comes to effect).

Good news: the Fujifilm X-E5 seems to be safe from any price increase (despite our reader getting a notice about the X-E5 price increase). According to first info shared to us by FR-reader readers, this is because the note from Fujifilm came before the trade deal with Japan (thanks).

Bad News: the list might not be complete yet, though, because there are for example only 9 GF lenses on the list, but I suspect all 20 of them will get a price increase of about 10%. So let’s hope the X-E5 is so far not on the list, because no increase is planed.

Please keep in mind that everything below is still a rumor until Fujifilm makes an official announcement. That said, I wouldn’t share this if I weren’t confident that the price increases are indeed coming on August 1.

Hopefully, this gives some of you the chance to save a few bucks by buying your gear before the deadline.

With that said, here are the new prices starting August 1st (roughly about 10% price increase – some more, some less):

X Series Camera Bodies

GFX Series Camera Bodies

X Series Lenses

GF Lenses

NOTE: all GF lenses will likely get a price increase. I just don’t have the details, so I won’t share them below. But if you are interested in other GF lenses, grab them now too, as price will very likely go up also for those.

REPORT: Fujifilm Price Increase Coming Soon (also on X-E5): Order Now to Lock the Price! – UPDATED

UPDATE: here is the list of price increases – X-E5 might be safe

FR-reader Alejandro has received the message you can see above from the Moment customer service:

Fujifilm just let us know they’ll be increasing the prices of some of their products soon, so l’m reaching out to assure you your order will be unaffected by the increase. Since you placed this order with us before the increase was announced, we’re be honoring your purchase price and eating the cost of the increase

I guess this was to expect. In fact, we’ve already seen hints of this: the X half launched at $850 instead of the planned $700, and the Fujifilm X-E5 is priced like the X-T5 in the U.S., unlike elsewhere where it is priced like the X-T50.

Older gear stayed stable thanks to pre-tariff stock, but that’s running out. Now, with higher import costs kicking in, Fujifilm appears to be officially adjusting prices.

But here is the thing:

When I asked Alejandro for which gear he got this notice, he told me:

this is for the silver X-E5 with kit lens

Now, we told you a few weeks ago that price adjustments on Fujifilm X-E5 can’t be ruled, since it’s now subject to a higher tariff rate than when it first launched.

Maybe that’s also why Amazon US de-listed the X-E5 from their website. They could be waiting for the price increase to become official and then list it again with the new price.

Anyway, if Alejandro’s report to FujiRumors is accurate, then we could be just days away from a price increase.

Also at risk of price increase might be all that gear announced before the tariffs and that is now running low on stock at the US warehouses, so we are talking of Fujifilm GFX100RF, Fujifilm X-T50, X-M5, X-T5, X-H2, X-H2S and more.

And I guess also plenty of GF and XF lenses will get a price increase.

To be clear: there is no official Fujifilm statement as of yet. It’s just an information that has been passed from a store to a FR-reader, who then passed it to me.

However, at this point my advice is: if you’re planning to buy and Fujifilm gear, (pre)order it now to give yourself the best chance of avoiding the potential imminent price hike.

If I get any updates I will let you know.
