I know that there are lots of FujiRumors readers out there, waiting for the Fujinon XF16-80mmF4, but, according to our sources, it won’t come in early 2019.
I personally hope it will be released at least at the end of June / early July, because I am sure this is a lens that many of us would like to use on our summer travels, but it could also be that we have to wait maybe until fall. I am investigating this and will let you know, so stay tuned on FujiRumors.
For the end of 2018, I have a rather big mixed zone for you. So grab a beer, sit down, and I am sure you will find some content down below you will enjoy.
Now other huge blogs and youtube channels awarded the Fujifilm X-T3 as best camera of 2018, such as Matt Granger, imaging-resource, cinema5D and Philip Bloom. You get all the links down below.
Now I just wait for the Fujifilm X-T3 to be declared UNESCO world heritage. :)
Down below the full list of fresh Fujifilm X-T3 best 2018 awards.
A trusted source told me (thanks), that the Fujifilm X-T30 will be released in the first quarter of 2019 (January-March).
This pretty much fits with what we expected in our Fujifilm X camera replacement timeline, where we speculated, based on Fuji’s camera refresh-cycle, when the Fujifilm X-H2, Fujifilm X-T4, Fujifilm X-T30, Fujifilm X-Pro3, Fujifilm X-E4 and Fujifilm X200 (or X100V) could be released.
It’s the time of the year, where blogs and youtube channels declare the top gear of 2018. And as to expect, the Fujifilm X-T3 turns out at the top of the list quite often.
The Fujifilm X-T3 is the best allrounder camera on the market right now, a terrific value for money. Just take a look at the overwhelmingly enthusiastic feedback Fujifilm X-T3 customer reviews. At the end of the day, you get a lot for just $1,499, and that makes customers very happy.
And yes, many favor the Fujifilm X-T3 over the Sony A7III, even though it was a close call.
So here is an overview of the latest best of lists.
fujirumors – DPReview Declares Fujifilm X-T3 Best Consumer Stills/Video Camera 2018
Tony and Chelsea Northrup (video below) declare the Fujifilm X-T3 their favorite camera of the year 2018. Incredible versatile camera. Great focussing during video, too. Great lenses and controls.
They do also say, though, that the Fujifilm has made one of the biggest overstatements of the year, by saying the Fujifilm X-T3 does shoot 30fps with AF (11/12 fps is more realistic). The Fujifilm X-H1 battery life is one of the biggest disappointments.
Fujifilm just released firmware update 2.00 for Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm X-H1. It brings lots of improvements, in Fujifilm best Kaizen tradition.
The firmware update removes the 4GB record limit for the Fujifilm X-H1, but not for the Fujifilm X-T3. The X-T3 will get this feature later on. Fujifilm will tell u when in January.
Fujifilm uploaded a few more Fujifilm X photographer live stages from Photokina 2018. This time we have Jonas Rask, Elias Locardi and more.
And speaking of Jonas…
Jonas Rask has published a 5 part blog post series, that he has made from his 6 day trip to Japan back in October. He used so many different Fujifilm cameras, so it’s basically a showcase of what these cameras could do on a trip like this.
