IT IS OVER: Fujifilm X-E4 is Fuji’s Last X-Trans IV Camera

It’s over!

Not only the Fujifilm X-E4 will be the last X series camera to come this year, but according to our sources it will also be the last one to feature the excellent X-Trans IV sensor!

The 26MP X-Trans IV sensor was used first on the Fujifilm X-T3, followed by the X-T30, X-Pro3, X100V, X-T4, X-S10 and last but not least the X-E4.

It’s still a great sensor with top-notch technology. Backside illuminated, full phase detection coverage, copper wiring for faster sensor readout. It’s the same technology we find in flagship cameras of other brands such as the Sony Alpha a7R IV.

And the future?

Fujifilm managers already hinted multiple times like in this interview and also here, that the future will bring more megapixel to the X series.

Which sensor technology will be used? Will it really be that 43 Megapixel 8K stacked BSI sensor?

Questions, riddles and enigmas that FujiRumors is trying to answer for you.

All I can say for now is that, after an explosive start in 2021, Fuji’s current quietness is only apparent. Behind the scenes great things are planed, and if you’d like to get a secret glimpse into them, following FujiRumors is the way to go.

Fujifilm Endangers My Marriage with Latest Mega Fujifilm X/GFX Deals – Save up to €2,000

Fujifilm UK made the start, and now the latest X and GFX deals spread all over Europe.

With one difference.

Unlike in UK, in Germany, Italy and other EU countries (but not all, for example not Netherlands), Amazon is included in the “Qualifying Retailers” list when it comes to the X series deals (not GFX deals). Must be shipped and sold by Amazon (no third party).

On a little personal note: in late April I took advantage of the GF lens deals and grabbed the GF32-64mm. When I was at the store, I put my hands on the GF100-200mm and it was much lighter than I expected. At that point I knew that one day I’d grab that lens too, in order to take those more compressed landscape shots I love so much.

But as I wrote a couple of days ago, buying another 2K lens after I already bought the XF80mm, XF27MKII, GFX100S and GF32-64 in 2021 would have been a serious test for my marriage.

Well, it seems Fujifilm took note of that and decided to put my marriage under stress by discounting the GF100-200 massively and tempting me again.

Damn you, Fuji!

So, down below you find a list full of temptations we have to resist. :)

All casback deals, meaning that after your purchase you go to this page, select your country, fill in the cashback form and send it to Fujifilm.

My Lovely Fujinon XF27mmF2.8 R WR, the Fujinon XF70-300mmF4-5.6 and Fujifilm X-E4 Reviews Roundup

Ein Beitrag geteilt von Fuji_Rumors (@fuji_rumors)

On April 26 I was finally allowed to leave my little village, so I could finally hit my local photography store in the province nearby.

I entered the store, and in a total frenzy grabbed the first free seller and nervously asked him to give me that bloody XF27mmF2.8 R WR right now!

I guess this was some sort of withdrawal symptom, as I sold my XF27mmF2.8 MKI a few days ago, which I was totally addicted to. So the replacement could not come fast enough!

Now I finally have it, and here it is! Obviously glued on my Fujifilm X-E3. The dream combo is back, and it already served me well on my daily walks around my little village with my son.

But the lovely Fujinon XF27mmF2.8 R WR is just one of the photo gear Fujifilm recently released just the day before my son was born.

Sure, there was the massive Fujifilm GFX100S and the bokeh monster GF80mmF1.7.

But the releases on the X series front were not less interesting.

There was the Fujifilm X-E4. Then there is the incredibly poratable Fujinon XF70-300mmF4-5.6, which, with about the size of the XF55-200mm, is the perfect lens to get a long reach in a compact package and absolutely fair price for the X system. And yes, last but not least the XF27mmF2.8 R WR.

So today we would like to focus on the roundup on the latest and greatest X series gear. Lots to watch and read down below.

Fujifilm Wins “iF Design Award” with Record Number of 23 Products Including “Film Simulations Function”

News is news, so I share it. But I wrote a very informative piece about these awards in the past. So, if you want to read how the business around (some of these) awards goes, check out this article.

A little addendum to my earlier article: Fujifilm recently won tons of Red Dot Awards. As you can see from the Red-Dot page itself here, Fujifilm had to pay up to €6,000 to “win” a single prize. I am pretty sure that there is a FR-reader out there, who could have developed a fantastic camera remote App if Fujifilm would have given him/her $6K.

These awards are a mere (and effortless) money machine for those, who run them, and they’d award even a garbage can as top innovation of the year, if somebody paid for that. They are meaningless.

And yet, news is news, so I have to share it. But at least you know what I think about them.

VISION 2023: Fujifilm’s New Medium-Term Management Plan Gives Up Dreams to Beat SONY and CANON?

Fujifilm has launched its medium-term management plan called VISION2023.

It’s clear that their focus is on the healthcare business and quite frankly the mention of its imaging division at the very end of the press release you can read below, feels more like a mandatory half-hearted addendum.

That’s totally different compared to their VISION2019 plan that Fujifilm published in 2017 here, where they literally wrote:
