[UPDATED with X-E4]: Leaked Price, Press Release and Release Date of GFX100S, Fujifilm XF70-300mmF4-5.6, XF27mmF2.8 MKII, GF80mmF1.7

Nokishita leaked the price and additional specs for the upcoming Fujifilm gear:

The US price of the new Fujifilm lens will be $ 799 for the XF70-300mm, $ 399 for the XF27mm, and $ 2499 for the GF80mm. The planned domestic release date of GFX100S is the end of February 2021

UPDATED: “Fujifilm “X-E4” is also registered at domestic dealers. It seems that only the body and the XC15-45mm kit will be sold in Japan. The planned release date is the end of February 2021”

And finally, after the leaked images of the Fujifilm GFX100S including a size comparison with full frame cameras, and after the leaked images of the GF80mmF1.7, XF70-300mmF4-5.6 and XF27mmF2.8MKII, we finally have also the images of the upcoming Fujifilm X-E4 thanks to nokishita.

Here are the first leaked images of the Fujifilm GFX100S. Also some accessories leaked.

It will be announced during the Fujifilm X Summit on January 27 at 8 AM New York time.

GFX100S? X-E4? No! The Biggest “Release” on January 27 Might be a Mini-FujiRumors… and How I Photographed my Pregnant Wife ;)

The Biggest “Release”

I checked back, and I saw that Fujifilm never announced so much new gear on a single day as it will happen on January 27 at 8AM New York time.

Here is what we should get.

But exactly on that day, there could be an even bigger “release” that will overshadow it all. Here it is:

January 26/27 is also the date set for the birth of my first child. So yes, I’ll become father (looks like I spent too much time with my wife during the first lockdown last spring ;) )

So, now you also know the main reason why I bought the Fujinon XF80mmF2.8 Macro ;).

What Might Change for You

Needless to say that everything will change in my life.

But will your experience on FujiRumors change?

Ideally you won’t notice any change (maybe just notice even more typos :)).

But what I can’t promise going forward, is that I’ll always be able to reply to all 7,000+ emails I get every year.

Sources will get absolute priority and always get a reply as fast as I can. Also people, who share an interesting Fuji news with me will get an answer.

FUJIFILM X SUMMIT Announced for JANUARY 27 at 8 AM New York Time (GFX100S, X-E4 and Much More)

FujiRumors told you back in December that Fujifilm would have a major announcement on January 27 (and not January 29), and now it’s confirmed by Fujifilm ;).

There will be a Fujifilm X Summit on January 27 at:

  • 8 AM New York Time
  • 2 PM Rome Time
  • 10 PM Tokyo Time

If it wasn’t for FujiRumors, you’d be totally in the dark about what will be announced. But thanks to exclusive FujiRumors leaks over the last few months (thanks a TON for the help of our sources), we know that Fujifilm will announce:

Fujifilm X-E4 Will Not Have IBIS

A while back, we investigated if the brand new compact IBIS system of the Fujifilm X-S10 would fit in the Fujifilm X-E3.

I took technical sketches of the X-S10 IBIS unit provided by Fujifilm and overlapped it to the X-E3.

We could see, that techinically it looks like there would be space for the X-S10 IBIS in the X-E3, and hence also on the upcoming X-E4 (if the X-E4 would have the same size of X-E3).

But today I have to report that, according to our information, the X-E4 has no IBIS.

I don’t know if this is just a matter of costs, or if Fujifilm decided to make the X-E4 even smaller than its predecessor.

Or maybe it’s the price we have to pay to get a flip up screen that still allows the LCD to be flush to the body like on the X100V.

FujiRumors Turns 9 Years Old Today… but I’ll Throw a Party on January 27 with GFX100S, X-E4 and Much More

Ok, FujiRumors turns 9 years old today. But hold on, we won’t party today.

What about we all meet here on January 27?

Why January 27?

Well, that’s when Fujifilm will announce TONS OF STUFF!

So, depending on the time zone you’re in, we could meet here on FujiRumors for a coffee or beer and follow the live blog of the latest and greatest Fujifilm gearn.

Would that be something?

I’d really look forward to celebrate with you on January 27…. it would be the best birthday present you can make to me.

BREAKING: Fujifilm GFX100S, GF80mmF1.7, X-E4, XF27mmF2.8II, XF70-300mmF4-5.6, New Film Simulation Coming JANUARY 27

Yes, I know. A mysterious FF200003 camera registrations has been spotted and is said to be announced on January 29.

But trust me, nothing will happen on January 29.

What you want to do, is to tune in on January 27, because that’s when Fujifilm will have a huge announcement day.

And don’t expect “just” one camera, the FF200003 to be announced.

In fact, I hear we could get all this on that single day:

DON’T PANIC, the Fujifilm X-E4 has an EVF!

Yesterday I reported that the Fujifilm X-E4 will have a flip up screen, similar to the one you see on the Fujifilm X70 and Sony A6400.

When I shared that rumor, I also shared an image with an X-E4 mock-up I made (not the real camera) and two images of an X70 with tilted screen, so that you guys can see immediately how the X70 screen works.

The image I shared was the one you see above. The two smaller cameras on the right show the X70 (and you can read it also printed on the top of the camera).

But for some reason, especially over on facebook, lots of people thought that this means the X-E4 won’t have a viewfinder. But what you see on the left, are two images of the X70 (it’s acutally also written on top of the camera). But probably, scrolling fast and giving just a rapid look at it, people misudnerstood it for a leaked X-E4 image.

And since 24 hours after that rumor, some people still say “oh, X-E4 has no viewfinder“, I feel I need to address this in a dedicated article. I mean, I don’t want anyone to go around in forums and spread the word that FuiRumors said the X-E4 has no EVF.

I confirm everything I said before: the Fujifilm X-E4 will not have a fixed screen and it also won’t have a fully articulating screen like the X-S10/X-T4.

Here is the real deal brought to us by our trusted sources:

The Fujifilm X-E4 will have a tilt up screen similar to the one we know from the Fujifilm X70 and from the Sony A6400.

Also, when positioned flat to the body, the screen should be flush to the body like Fujifilm X100V screen.

I am very curious to hear those of you guys think, who were considering to buy the Fujifilm X-E4. Is that a solution you like or you can live with? Or is it a no-go?
