FUJIFILM Mega Lens Deals Now also in EUROPE

I was just about to make the papers to get a green card for USA and go living there, because USA has always the best deals, but there is no need for that anymore.

Fujifilm has launched the big lens cashback deals also in Europe*.

These are cashback deals, meaning you pay regular retail price, then head over to fujifilm-connect, select your country and claim back your money.

The best Fuji deals of the year are usually the ones between January and March, since the Japanese fiscal year ends in March, hence Fujifilm tries to sell as much as possible to show up with better numbers in front of investors.

So we get new Fujifilm deals, that will expire March 30.

Price of Fujifilm X-H1 Falling Worldwide, but No Fujifilm X-H2 Coming in 2019

Fujifilm X-H2 Coming?

Lately I get many emails asking me if the Fujifilm X-H2 is around the corner, since the price on the Fujifilm X-H1 is dropping drastically all over the world (latest countries to join is the United Kingdom today here).

My answer is no, there will NOT be a Fujifilm X-H2 in 2019.

The reason for the price drop on the Fujifilm X-H1 is not because the X-H2 is coming, but because… well, I have a smart community, and I’m sure you can figure it out by your own ;).

The only camera to get a successor very soon, is the Fujifilm X-T20, since the Fujifilm X-T30 is coming on February 14.

FUJIFILM sets New Price on Fujifilm X-H1, X-E3, X-T20, X-T100, X-A5 and Fujifilm Savings Continue

It looks like Fujifilm set a new MSRP for he Fujifilm X-H1, Fujifilm X-Pro2, Fujifilm X-E3, Fujifilm X-T20, Fujifilm X-T100 and Fujifilm X-A5. The price is lower than in 2018, and stores do not mark it as a deal.

Hence, the Fujifilm X-H1 with grip is still $900 cheaper than just a few days ago, but given the brand new retail price of the X-H1, the savings add up to $467.

Strangly the official retail price of the Fujifilm X-T2 is still $1,599, but you can buy it for $1,099 with a $500 price drop.

FUJIFILM ROYAL: Long Live King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Fujifilm X Shooter

Weekend curiosity:

Guys, it’s time for me to quit my teacher job, leave my family, my little rented apartment, my lovely mountains, pack my stuff into my 10 years old Mazda2 and move up North to Sweden.

Why?

Because I want to be ruled by a Fujifilm X shooter! :)

In fact, thanks to a tip from a FujiRumors readers, I just discovered that Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, is a Fujifilm X shooter.

He uses either a Fujifilm X-T10 or X-T20, and very likely soon a Fujifilm X-T30 :).

His lens is the Queen under the kit lenses, the XF18-55, a stellar lens…. not like a SONY kit lens, which uses the bottom of a bottle as front element ;).

So, Fujifilm might not be good enough for professional photographers, but at least it’s good enough for Kings and for…

Fujifilm GFX100 Has Two Joysticks

When I was at Photokina, Fujifilm was very attentive not to display the Fujifilm GFX100S from the backside. And also the images they published on the web so far don’t show the backside of the camera.

However, I took a close look at the images we have so far, and I noticed that there are two joysticks at the back of the camera (see top image). Other cameras with integrated battery grip, such as the Nikon D5 and the Canon 1Dx MK II, also have two joysticks. And also Fuji’s own vertical grips for X series cameras offer an additional joystick.

Down below more leaked Fujifilm GFX100 specs… definitely more exciting than today’s one ;).
