At the time of this post, AmazonUS here and BHphoto here are offering the Fujinon GF50mm f/3.5 with a 30% rebate.
At BHphoto here, you also get a free UV filter on top of it.
This is not an official deal, so no idea how long it will remain available.
I own this lens and it makes the perfect everyday walkaround lens for the GFX100S, making your 100MP medium format system ridiculously compact and light. When I am out with my family and decide to take the GFX100S, then this is the lens I glue on it.
Our one five-star review for this week goes to Fujifilm for its ground-breaking APC-S camera. It’s well-constructed, weatherproof and lightweight, with a fantastic articulated screen, and a large and bright OLED viewfinder plus a control layout that few will have problems getting to grips with. This is one of the best cameras around.
The Fujifilm X-H2S is a versatile camera with a speedy burst mode, updated subject detection algorithm and support for 6K video. However, it’s not as high-resolution as the X-H2 nor as visually appealing as the Fujifilm X-T5, both of which can be found for less money.
Score: 4.5/5
So that’s the thing with PSAM dial cameras. They tend to get more attention by huge review sites than more niche retro styled cameras. And good press never hurts.
Also CineD declared the Fujifilm X-H2 the best camera launched in 2022 for video work. As working professional videographers, their opinion matters and debunks the myth that the X-H2s is the video centric cameras and the X-H2 the stills centric one. As we always told you, both are perfect hybrid machines, and the difference is not video vs stills, but speed vs resolution.
Well, why not. The X summit in April is definitely a very hot candidate for the X-S20 announcement.
But just to be clear and precise: our sources only said that the Fujifilm X-S20 will be Fuji’s next X series camera, and they did not give us any further time indication, which is why right now in theory everything is still possible, even an announcement before or after the X summit in April (as well as during the X summit of course).
Also, our sourced said “X series camera”, hence we talk about Fuji’s APS-C lineup.
Last thing: the fact that the X-S20 will be the next X camera to come does not exclude that also other cameras could be announced on the same day.
I know, lots of questions and speculations. I will now work on all of this and once I have solid updates, I will let you know.
We found that the following models of the cameras rarely froze right after the completion of the firmware update with the latest version using a smartphone (tablet) in which Camera Remote application software was installed.
FUJIFILM X-T5 was released on Mid November 2022 and the latest firmware for other five models below were released on Nov. 29, 2022 on our firmware download site for digital cameras.

Therefore, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we would like to ask you to update the revised firmware.
When updating the firmware with the revised version, please be sure to update the firmware using an SD card according to steps below.
(This phenomenon does not occur when updating firmware using an SD card.) Detail of firmware update steps
I recently reported that the Fujifilm X-Pro3 was discontinued at several stores and also Fujifilm distributors in some countries said the same. You can read more here.
This news kind of took a life of its own, as now people go around saying that FujiRumors said the X-Pro line had been discontinued.
So let me clarify.
The news was only about the X-Pro3 being discontinued, not the entire X-Pro line.
So, FujiRumors never said the X-Pro4 will never come.
The X-Pro line, so says Fujifilm, will be the refined luxury line of Fujifilm. I don’t know what they exactly mean by that, but certainly it sounds expensive. And probably they will continue to make brave design choices that will give it a very exclusive feel. But it’s pure guesswork of mine.
Anyway, that’s why I think there will be one day a Fujifilm X-Pro4.
Fujifilm not only announced a couple of new firmware updates, including rather substantial ones (read here), but they also announced the Fujifilm X Summit for April 2023.
Usually, when Fujifilm announces an X Summit, FujiRumors already rumored ahead what will come.
But this time I have not yet published anything, which makes it very interesting for me to see what your guesses are (and how good they will turn out to be).
Fujifilm has published a video with the New Year Greetings 2023 (vide below). And it comes with a few interesting tidbits.
Most interesting for us:
GFX grant challenge winners will be announced in March
improved Autofocus system via firmware update for X-H2s
– improved motion prediction output, for better tracking even if subject moves in and out of frame and speed changes
– AI deep learning subject detection improvement for tracking human faces in the most tricky conditions, and more subjects can be detected (such as drones)
more firmware for other 5th generation cameras are being prepared for 2023 and you can look forward to them
Fujifilm X Summit will be held in April with Fujikina to be hold at the same time of the X summit
Of course the X summits are here to introduce new products. Feel free to drop your guess in the comments… the answer will follow on FujiRumors ;).
