Sorry, guys, I am late.

But I’ve received this information right while I was cooking my wife’s favorite dish for a Valentines Day dinner (*quick instructions below).

Anyway, now we are done, my little Fuji lover is going to bed with his mom, and I have time to share it with you.

The rumor is this one: Sigma will launch its first X mount lenses on February 21.

We also confirm that the lenses to be announced will be:

We have covered the upcoming Sigma lenses several times over the past few weeks:

Linguine/Spaghetti with shrimp and rocket salad (Rucola) and lemon and tomato

Time to prepare: 15/20 minutes – 2 people

Put the pasta… and let it cook while you prepare the sauce.

Sauce: Fry a bit of garlic and chili for a few minutes (low heat, don’t let the garlic turn brown). Then throw in some nice, fat shrimps (raise the heat). Let them fry 1 or 2 minutes with the garlic. Then put in a bit of decent white wine (about half a wine glass). Cook for 1/2 more minutes with rather hot flame. Then put in some tomato cut in smaller pieces (should be very mature tomato). Let it all cook for a few more minutes at medium heat (4/5minutes).

Drain the spaghetti/linguine and throw them in the sauce (keep a bit of cooking water in a glass, so if the sauce turns to dry, you can use the cooking water to make it more creamy). Then add the juice of half a lemon (for 200/250g of pasta), the skin of half a lemon and the rocket salad to taste (simply ripped in smaller pieces with your hands) and mix it all nicely.

Now you can serve the dish… and if you do so, feel free to send me the images via email at fujirumor@gmail.com. ;)

DPReview Declares Fujifilm X-T4 Best Hybrid Camera under $2,000 and Fujifilm X-T4 vs Sony A7III Comparison

DPReview updated its Buying Guide, and now officially recommends the Fujifilm X-T4 as the best hybrid video/stills camera you can buy for less than $2,000, hence, according to DPR, if you are looking for the best balanced video/stills camera, the X-T4 will serve you better than the second placed camera, the Sony A7III. That’s at least according to DPR here.

Fujifilm X-T4 vs Sony A7III?

The Fujinon GF30mmF3.5 is Coming and We Celebrate Its Arrival with a Stunning GF Lenses Image Roundup

As you know, the upcoming Fujinon GF30mm f/3.5 specs have already leaked here.

We wait for nokishita to leak the images in the next few days, and as soon as it happens, I’ll report about it on FujiRumors.

Of course there will be a live blogging. When exactly? Well… let’s say you should just trust my sixth sense. I will start the live blog 0.01 seconds after the lens has been announced, don’t worry about that at all. ;)

The Fujinon GF 30mm f/3.5 equals to a much loved focal length among Fujifilm APS-C X-shooters, the 16mm (in terms of primes, there are the XF16mm f/1.4, and the compact XF16mm f/2.8).

If we want to be precise, the Fujinon GF30mm f/3.5, converted in other formats, is about:

  • Full Frame: 23mm f/2.8
  • APS-C: 16mm f/1.8

To me, that’s a very nice focal length.

The GF30mm f/3.5 also seems to be well balanced in terms of price and size, as you can see from the leaks here and from the size comparison with the Fujinon GF23mm f/4 and the Fujinon GF 45mm f/2.8 we made in this post.

The Advantage of GF lenses

Fujinon GF lenses are about the top lenses you can get on the market.

And in fact, one crucial advantage of medium format GF lenses over full frame or APS-C lenses, is that they can be designed for much higher resolution than lenses for smaller formats.

This is why, if sharp images with tons of detail is what you are looking for, then the best and most future proof system you can buy into (without breaking the bank), is the GFX system.

I am sure the new Fujinon GF30mm f/3.5 will keep the excellent G mount tradition, and deliver spectacular results, too.

Image Roundup

And in order to celebrate the arrival of the Fujinon GF30mm f/3.5, I thought I share a rounudp of GFX images, with some selected photographs taken by members of our massive Fujifilm GFX facebook group.

The roundup includes many Fujinon G mount lenses, but not only that.

The GFX system is a joy to use with adapted lenses, hence in this roundup, you’ll find GFX cameras taking picutres with the following lenses:

I hope you will enjoy the images below as much as I did, and I wish you a fantastic day ahead.

Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 First Look Review

Damian Brown got his hands on the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 already. Here is what he thinks about the lens:

  • loose aperture ring. He moved it accidentally during shooting. Not really a dealbreaker, but he does not like it
  • click-free aperture ring (like the Viltrox 33mmf/1.4)
  • metal lens hood
  • STM focus motor. Nice option for video shooters
  • he used the lens on the Fujifilm X-T4
  • 52mm filter size
  • feels solid and well built
  • manual focus ring is well dampened, smooth
  • you can control the aperture with command dial if you want
  • vignetting is relatively strong. You better stop down a bit to get rid of it
  • lens is sharp
  • renders colors nicely
  • smooth and nice bokeh… can be swirly occasionally. Bokeh has character
  • autofocus is more than fast enough for him, and very accurate most of the time
  • video focus seems pretty smooth
  • occasionally he noticed focus breathing
  • very good build quality, sharp images, smooth video autofocus, and lives up to the standard set be the Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 AF
