Three new lenses bring the total lineup to 11 products, supporting photographers with a diverse range of style
When I initially began to integrate Flashpoint XPLOR H1200 into my workflow, HSS, portability and the long lasting lithium batteries were key factors in my decision to switch from Broncolor to Flashpoint/Godox.
With the release of the 600 PRO earlier this year, I began to add more units, enough to be able to light for any conceivable studio or location requirements. I may use as many as 20 lights for a setup, or just one, but for sure I like to always have a good number of spares available.
On a recent shoot with singer/actress Becky G for the cover of GALORE magazine, and another shoot for VOGUE, I needed to have various set ups ready at once. I used only a single 600 PRO inside a modified BRONCOLOR FLOOTER S for a series of dramatic sky shots in HSS mode, and also a late afternoon pool shot, but I needed 20 units to light a series of colorful, 2000s pop inspired studio shots.
This will be a rather huge Fujifilm GFX 50S (and lenses) roundup… so let’s start.

Steelsring is about to release their Nikon F to Fujifilm GFX mount smart adapter. You can see the latest protoype in the image above. On their website here, they write:

Support Nikon AF-S G and E type lens, and AF-P G type lens contrast based AF in GFX 50s body.
Electromagnetic diaphragm of type E Lens can be controlled by GFX 50s body, allows AF in full open ( decided by camera body ) and step down for exposure.
Diaphragm of G type lens was manually controlled by aperture ring of adapter in real-time, so AF is conducted in real effective aperture as exposure. AF performance may be bad in low light/contrast, benefits are 1) Real aperture priority, 2) and totally no noise of consistent IRIS moving.
Full EXIF info recording. ( For G type lens, only the current max open aperture was displayed and recorded, no way to adjust it ).
Lens VR was support and effective on demand.
FX mount version adapter is in design phase, maybe with better performance of PDAF and auto aperture control version for your choice.
Note:
Support to AF-D type lens will be very limited, EXIF may works, but no AF absolutely.
Firmware Updates

The Fujifilm GFX 50S keeps up enjoying very positive reviews all over the web. Here is a selection of them, which includes reviews about the brand new GF 250mm F4.
Reviews are nice and good, but probably the best advertising for the quality of the Fujifilm GFX 50S are the tons of stellar images shared at our Fujiflm GFX facebook group. It is astonishing with which consistency the GFX group members share fantastic images.
So if you are looking for fantastic images… now you know where to find them! :)
However, keep in mind that a Fujifilm manager said here that they need 2 years to discuss, develop and finally make a camera and even more than 2 years in case of lenses.
So if in June 2017, when we shared the GF 80mmF1.4 rumor, the discussions about the GF80mmF1.4 just started, then now, 1 year later, IF Fujifilm really decided to go ahead with it, it will take them well over 1 year to come out with it.
Again… if Fujifilm decided to make it all.
But even if Fujifilm decided to make it, you should not expect any GF 80mmF1.4 lens at Photokina 2018, and I’d personally would not expect it before 2020 anyway.
Don’t worry, there will be lots of other great gear to enjoy at Photokina 2018, such as the Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm GF 50R.
Tilt Shift, UWA & The New Roadmap
According to our sources, we must add also a tilt shift lens for the GF system to the list of rumored lenses shared back in April 2017, so the updated and complete rumored GF lens list is the following:
GF 35mm F2.8 (coming 2018)
GF 20-36mm F3.5-4.5 (in 2018 this or the GF 100-200)
GF 100-200mm F4.5-5.6 (in 2018 this or the GF 20-36)
GF 80mm F1.4 (not in 2018 – personally I’d not expect it before 2020)
Tilt Shift lens (coming 2018/2019)
Fujifilm plans to release 2/3 GF lenses a year, and since we already got the GF250mmF4 last month, we can expect a maximum of two more lenses in 2018.
Now, for 2018, the Fujinon GF 35mmF2.8 should be sure.
So now it’s your turn guys. Let us know which one you would prefer between the GF20-36, GF-100-200 and the tilt shift lens for 2018.
