Fringer just released another firmware update for their EF-FX Smart adapter. The adapter itself is sadly still out of stock (it sold out within an hour). And remember, they still have the special offer on the Contax 645-GFX smart adapter running.
I remind you that also Steelsring has a Canon EF to Fuji X Smart Adapter available, for the same price of $299. You can get it here at steelsring.
Well, besides the Fujifilm X-H1, which is compatible out of the box with the Air Remote TTL-F, Profoto announced that Fujifilm will release a firmware upgrade in April to make it compatible also with the Fujifilm X-T20.
Would be great if they could add also support for X-T1, but at this point we can be fairly pessimistic that this won’t happen.
REMINDER: The Fujifilm X-T20 will get a massive firmware update in April, that is definitely worth to be called a “Kaizen update”. We have shared the full details of the X-T20 update here.
Face Detection Tracing test at 梅晟義 Youtube. Keep in mind it’s pre-production firmware. Looks good so far, though. Sometimes it looks unsharp, but that’s because of the smartphone recording.
The X-H1 Coverage Continues
The buzz surrounding the Fujifilm X-H1 launch seems never to end, and while this night was the first night after 10 days, that I could sleep at least 6 hours, my X-H1 coverage continues without a pause.
But given the huge X-H1 buzz, let’s make a little summary of what has been posted already in the last 3 days.
A special note goes to TheCameraStoreTV live stream, where Fuji Guy Billy answered really many questions, including the one how Fujifilm made the X mount compatible with IBIS.

FUJIFILM GFX50S, 63mm lens, iso 100, 1/125, f11. The Pro set at 1/4 power in regular flash mode recycled almost immediately, a welcome and noticeable improvement from the older model.
Is the Godox Witstro AD600 Pro a substantially better flash than its predecessor, the AD600?
I have now had the Godox AD600 PRO in my hands for 48 hours, since posting my ‘first impressions’ review. What have I discovered since, and is it a substantially better flash than its predecessor, the AD600?
I used the brand-new Pro unit earlier today on a fashion shoot for Berlin-based fashion brand, Hadas Hinkis.
Since in my first round of clinical testing, I had already determined that one PRO has roughly the same output as the twin H1200, when paired with the legendary Broncolor Flooter S, I felt confident to bring only the PRO on set.
As expected, the PRO performed flawlessly during the entire shoot.
FujiRumors Notes
As the Fuji manager said to BHphoto (video below), the X-H1 has a shorter blackout time (100msec of blackout-time), when used in combination with electronic first curtain shutter. He says blackout is so short that it feels like shooting a DSLR. Fuji Guys confirm our rumor about face detection in 4K. Eterna film simulation looks really good, and as we rumored here, it will come via firmware to X-T2 (and maybe more cameras). However, for stills, Classic Chrome remains my favorite.

Combining a robust, durable body with superior image quality and easy operation, the FUJIFILM X-H1 is the firstcamera in the series to include 5-axis 5.5 stops* in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and the new ETERNA Film Simulation feature, for outstanding video reproduction.
It’s always like this… the last moments before the official annonucements are the longest, and seem never to pass.
So, while waiting for the Fujifilm X-H1 to become official very soon, at midnight New York time, let’s pass our time a few more leaks :).
This time we can read the Fujifilm X-H1 Brochure, which, amongst the others, shows an the Eterna film simuation sample. You can download it from nokishita google drive or fujirumors dropbox.
It’s just a few hours now, and the Fujifilm X-H1 will be officially announced (2PM Toyko time – midnight in New York).
And while the Fujifilm X-H1 is for sure the one camera that currently creates the biggest buzz on the internet, it remains to see if it will also become a big success in terms of sales.
So let’s try to anticipate the fate of the X-H1 here on FujiRumors, by launching a survey.
The decision if you will buy (or not) the Fujifilm X-H1 is made a bit easier by the fact that basically everything has already been leaked. I will share just a few main specs, and link to the full press-release, specs sheet and comparisons.
Also a short recap of the Fujifilm X-T3 rumors, which should help you to make your decision.
