Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 Sample Images and Autofocus Demo Videos

The Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 will start shipping on April 21, as we reported here.

Of course there are photographers testing the lens, and Viltrox has re-shared all their sample images on Chinese facebook equivalent weibo.

I will share first the (google translated) feedback the various photographer gave, then their images and of course all the links to weibo.

  • Bearsce says: he overall feeling is pretty good except that the aperture is fully open and the dispersion is a bit large
  • Ares_chen says: this lens works really well, and the focusing speed is also very fast , Imaging sharpness and focus are not bad, there will be purple fringes under high light ratio

Last week Viltrox also shared some autofocus demo videos, which I share for your convenience also on my youtube channel.

Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 Official Product Page Online

As we told you, Viltrox started taking pre-orders on the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 AF lens.

They have also the product page up on their website since 1 week now, but apparently some missed it, so I share it now with all of you.

You can see the core specs of the lens as well as product images below.

The lens is available only in China for now, but I expect BHphoto & Co to get samples soon.

The other two Viltrox lenses, the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 and the Viltrox 56mm f/1.4, should follow later on.

Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 Pre-Sale Started and Shipping April 21

After several delays, finally Viltrox is starting to sell their long awaited new Fujifilm X mount autofocus lenses, the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4, the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 and the Viltrox 56mm f/1.4.

The first lens to be sold is the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 for 1,799 Chinese Yuan ($250) and it will ship April 21. The other lenses will be released later on.

Viltrox already sells the successful and much loved Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 autofocus lens for Fuji X, but as opposed to the Viltrox 85mm f/1.8, these new Viltrox lenses have an aperture ring.

I expect the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 to be available fore pre-order also outside of China very soon at BHphoto here, AmazonUS here and Adorama here (they also sell the Viltrox 85/1.8)

New Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.4 Images

Viltrox

Recently Viltrox disclosed the official price in Chinese Yuan of the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4… and it’s a very aggressive one!

Now we have new images of the Viltrox 33mmm f/1.4 and Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 mounted on the Fujifilm X-T3. You can see them below.

The lenses were originally scheduled for release in 2019, but as we reported here, there will be a delay surely for the 33 and 56. The only lens that could still make it for 2019, is the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4, but there is a big “maybe” here.

The latest specs and images about all three upcoming Viltrox lenses can be found in this article.

And don’t forget to:

Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 Price Officially Disclosed

Viltrox has now disclosed the official price in Chinese Yuan of the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4.

The lens will cost 1,799 Yuan, which converted means USD 255.

This confirms the price tag of $250 given back in September.

As FujiRumors reported here, the release for the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.4 has been postponed to next year.

The only lens that could still make it for 2019, is the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4.

Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.4 launch Postponed to Next Year

Viltrox Fujifilm

Back in September, Viltrox released specs and price for the new Viltrox 23mm f/1.4, 33mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.4.

They also said that the release of all three lenses was scheduled for December 2019.

However, I have been told (thanks) about a delay for the Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 and 56mm f/1.4.

Only the Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 could “maybe” still make it in time for December… take note of that “maybe”.

The latest specs and images about all three upcoming Viltrox lenses can be found in this article.

Viltrox

A FR-reader shared with FujiRumors some flyers about the upcoming Viltrox lenses:

  • Viltrox 23mm f/1.4
  • Viltrox 33mm f/1.4
  • Viltrox 56mm f/1.4

Viltrox 23, 33 and 56 hands on images!

The flyers give a few more details to the ones already shared in this article as well as some correction (for example a slight weight increase in some cases and lens elements design changes for the 23mm f/1.4).

In the meantime, the Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 autofocus lens for Fujifilm X is a best seller and so far the feedback is definitely very positive. It’s not a Fujinon, but it’s also so much cheaper, that you definitely get great performance for little price.

Down below all the new details about the upcoming lenses.

New Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0 Hands-On Images and Accurate Size Comparison with XF 33/1.0, 56/1.2, 50/2, 90/2, 16-55/2.8

Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0

As you know, Fujifilm canceled the Fujinon XF33mm f/1.0 in favor of the Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0. As Fujifilm explained at the Fujifilm X Summit, the change was necessary in order to save size, weight (and I’ll add also price).

FujiRumors already made an accurate size comparison between the XF 50mm f/1.0 and the XF56/1.2, XF50/2, XF90/2 and XF16-55/2.8 in this article.

Now new hands on images of the Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0 appeared on weibo via camerabeta, and you can see them all down below.
