Given the several rumors we have already shared about the upcoming Fujifilm GFX50SII, I thought we can share an initial specs comparison with the Fujifilm GFX100S and the original Fujifilm GFX50S.
Totally missing so far are the video specs, but I somehow have the feeling that those of you interested in the Fujifilm GFX50SII, don’t really have “video features” as one of your priorities.
A very good super telephoto lens for GFX cameras. It fully cover the 44x33mm sensor in all focal range. We also demo its AF performance on Fringer adapter.
Key Features:
Electronic aperture control: built-in elecgronic aperture ring similar to native G mount lenses
Phase Detection AF Support (AF-S. AF-C, Eye-AF, etc. in GFX100 and GFX100S only). Focus Points fully cover the sensor. DSLR like AF experiences.
Supports both lens IS and IBIS (not at the same time). Users may choose between them

EISA has assigned awards to everybody making up categories that are hard to distinguish, so that lots of companies will pay lots of money for their EISA logo license to be used in future.
And if they don’t pay, next year those companies will be “punished” by not receiving awards, leading to tons of negative press.
Fujifilm once refused to pay for the TIPA logo license and they were punished the following year by not receiving any award for their digital cameras. That lead to tons of negative press, so Fujifilm decided to pay TIPA again lots of money.
How much?
For example, using the RedDot award logo for one product and one year costs up to $6,000. I can’t think at an easier way to make money than selling awards.
After this reality check, let’s see who “won” this year.
I keep getting emails about how the Fujifilm GFX50SII will look like.
Will it retain the dials of the GFX50S? Will it still have the backhump? Will it still have a detachable viewfinder? And more of these questions.
I get it, it’s summer, so it’s easier to miss certain articles while you are on holiday. And that’s good so.
But in the hope to stop the storm of emails I get, I would like to remind you of this article on June, where I say that the Fujifilm GFX50SII will look identical to the Fujifilm GFX100S.
And with identical, I mean identical: every button, the viewfinder, the dials, just everything.
This also means that the leaked images of the Fujifilm GFX50SII will be the most boring ever, as all you have to do is to look at the Fujifilm GFX100S.

The latest Fujifilm financial results for the 1nd quarter 2022 (from 1 April 2021 to 31 July 2021) have been released.
Performance recovered sharply as revenue surged 45.6% YoY and operating income returned to the black year-over-year, due to strong sales of instant photo systems.
As for their digital camera division:
Professional imaging: Revenue ¥27.7 billion (up 26.1% YoY).
FUJIFILM GFX100S, a mirrorless digital camera which has gained a high reputation worldwide for its superior image quality using a large format sensor despite its compact body, increased its user base and continued to boost sales.
Singer-Turned-Photographer Bryan Adams is currently at work to shoot the new Pirelli Calendar 2022.
Now some behind the scenes images appeared at CNN here, and the camera we see has to be the Fujifilm GFX100S: flat viewfinder, top LCD with two buttons on the right, the “viewmode” printed on the side.

In honor to the Fujifilm GFX100S, which I own and made me break my “likes” record on Instagram, with the very first GFX100S image I’ve shared, today FujiRumors is going to dedicate to this wonderful camera, whose only issue is that it lacks of X-T alike dials, a roundup.

I am a man on a mission: making being a Fujifilm X and GFX shooter even more fun than it already is!
How?
Well, by keeping you guys informed, entertained and possibly even excited about all things Fujifilm X/GFX using this humble blog called FujiRumors.
I hope I was able to do that in July, but I will work even harder in August in trying to make a hot summer even hotter with lots of breaking news and rumors.
And now let’s take a look at what happened in July with the top 10 posts of the past month.
The original plan was to hit the mountains and go full into landscape photography mode as soon as I have my GFX gear. But my wife decided she needed to take a 3 week long intensive course in Italian language starting exactly this week, which means I basically have to stay at home to take care of my son while she studies. Unluckily not the best timing ;).
But the summer is long and I’ll get my hiking opportunities. And it never hurts to have quality time with my son, too :).
