The first roundup of 2019 goes to the camera, that created the biggest buzz in 2018, the Fujifilm X-T3.
Besides being declared (yet again) the best camera of 2018, this time by Kai and Lok, in this roundup you will also see a X-T3 color comparison vs Canon EOS M50 and Sony A6300, the new Palle Schultz X-T3 quick tip series, Fuji Guys Top video and stills features and a lot more.
So, depending on your time zone, grab a coffee or a beer, and find the content you’d like to check out down below.
Thanks to our fantastic sources, 2018 was another incredibly busy and successful rumor year for FujiRumors, with 75 rumors shared (one rumor every 5 days) and a rumor hit rate of 92%.
I hope we could add a bit of fun and entertainement in the Fuji X and GFX world, and that you guys enjoyed the time spent discussing the rumors on this blog.
Now other huge blogs and youtube channels awarded the Fujifilm X-T3 as best camera of 2018, such as Matt Granger, imaging-resource, cinema5D and Philip Bloom. You get all the links down below.
Now I just wait for the Fujifilm X-T3 to be declared UNESCO world heritage. :)
Down below the full list of fresh Fujifilm X-T3 best 2018 awards.
The Fujifilm X-T3 has already been declared best camera of 2018 by many big youtubers and blogs. Check out our recent best of 2018 overview here.
The BAD News:
The Fujifilm X-T100 has been declared worst video camera of 2018, with a useless 4K. The Fujifilm XF10 is the thrid worst camera of 2018. Bad and unreliable focussing. Slow, laggy.
Dear Fujifilm, this is what happens if you put an old and slow processor in cameras that otherwise would have a very nice sensor.
The MISSING News:
Strangly, not a single Fujinon lens makes it into the list.
Note the X-T3 thumbrest will not fit the X-T2, see our other listing on Amazon. No-compromise design specifically for the Fujifilm X-T3 with ideal length and curve geometry
Makes one-handed operation easier and retains access to all controls while preventing unintentional button presses
Integrated silicone insert provides thumb grip and bumper between camera body and thumb grip
Hidden silicone insert in hot shoe tab provides resistance to unintentional ejection
Since the X-T3 has a threaded shutter release all our custom soft release buttons will fit. See our other listings
Lensmate says they are still working with their Anodizer on a Silver X-T3 Thumbrest, because the Fujifilm X-T3 Silver topped camera is slightly darker than, say the X100F, it is challenging to get a satisfactory finish.
A trusted source told me (thanks), that the Fujifilm X-T30 will be released in the first quarter of 2019 (January-March).
This pretty much fits with what we expected in our Fujifilm X camera replacement timeline, where we speculated, based on Fuji’s camera refresh-cycle, when the Fujifilm X-H2, Fujifilm X-T4, Fujifilm X-T30, Fujifilm X-Pro3, Fujifilm X-E4 and Fujifilm X200 (or X100V) could be released.
It’s the time of the year, where blogs and youtube channels declare the top gear of 2018. And as to expect, the Fujifilm X-T3 turns out at the top of the list quite often.
The Fujifilm X-T3 is the best allrounder camera on the market right now, a terrific value for money. Just take a look at the overwhelmingly enthusiastic feedback Fujifilm X-T3 customer reviews. At the end of the day, you get a lot for just $1,499, and that makes customers very happy.
And yes, many favor the Fujifilm X-T3 over the Sony A7III, even though it was a close call.
So here is an overview of the latest best of lists.
fujirumors – DPReview Declares Fujifilm X-T3 Best Consumer Stills/Video Camera 2018
Tony and Chelsea Northrup (video below) declare the Fujifilm X-T3 their favorite camera of the year 2018. Incredible versatile camera. Great focussing during video, too. Great lenses and controls.
They do also say, though, that the Fujifilm has made one of the biggest overstatements of the year, by saying the Fujifilm X-T3 does shoot 30fps with AF (11/12 fps is more realistic). The Fujifilm X-H1 battery life is one of the biggest disappointments.
Fujifilm has very recently released firmware updates for Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm X-H1. I have collected some firmware feedback you guys shared in this post and in this post.
And as you know, Fujifilm reads you… so keep up sharing your feedback in the comments.
Fujifilm just released firmware update 2.00 for Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm X-H1. It brings lots of improvements, in Fujifilm best Kaizen tradition.
The firmware update removes the 4GB record limit for the Fujifilm X-H1, but not for the Fujifilm X-T3. The X-T3 will get this feature later on. Fujifilm will tell u when in January.
