So, my Fujifilm GFX100S just arrived as well as my Fujinon GF32-64mmF4.

The original plan was to hit the mountains and go full into landscape photography mode as soon as I have my GFX gear. But my wife decided she needed to take a 3 week long intensive course in Italian language starting exactly this week, which means I basically have to stay at home to take care of my son while she studies. Unluckily not the best timing ;).

But the summer is long and I’ll get my hiking opportunities. And it never hurts to have quality time with my son, too :).

The Truth about the Fujinon GF56mm f/5.6 R WR Rumors!

Well, the shortcut is sharing fake rumors.

And today I see myself forced to ask for your time to share a warning.

I have read a fake rumor that Fujifilm will launch a Fujinon GF 56mm f/5.6 lens.

Of course this is a 100% fake rumor (trust me, I know what I talk about), and it serves one goal only: find a fast and cheap way to get your attention, your time and your money.

And little it matters if clickbait sites mislead their readers and disrespect their community by sharing fakes. All they want is traffic and money. Whatever is needed to achieve that, they’ll do it.

But here on FujiRumors we respect and love this whole community way too much to take such cheap shortcuts.

What will really come? Well, read FujiRumors to find it out ;).

European Fujifilm X/GFX Deals End Today!

This is the last day to grab the discounted X and GFX gear in Europe.

Unlike in UK, in Germany, Italy and other EU countries (but not all, for example not Netherlands), Amazon is included in the “Qualifying Retailers” list when it comes to the X series deals (not GFX deals). Must be shipped and sold by Amazon (no third party).

Huge Fujifilm X/GFX Deals in USA with Up to $2,000 Savings and One Recommendation

So, Fujifilm finally launched huge deals with up to $2,000 savings on X and GFX gear. You’ll find all details below.

Depending on the deal, they run either until July 11, July 25 or August 22.

But here is one recommendation I’d like to make, based also on my personal experience.

Fujifilm was upfront and already announced here delivery delays on many products due to chip shortage.

Considering that the current deals will cause a demand-boost on the below mentioned gear, if you are interested to get your gear as fast as possible, maybe it is better not to wait the last days of the deals.

It’s an error I did in fact.

I did wait the last days of the GF lens deals myself back in April, and while initially the store had the GF32-64 available, it did run out of stock during the promotional period, and now I am still waiting to get mine. I wish I’d have ordered earlier.

But hey, if you are more patient than me, then also ordering last second is a great option.

Fujifilm GFX Evolution: Leaving Perfection for…

ZP productions tested the GFX100S and GF80mmF1.7. He loves both, and owns both.

But there is one note he makes.

He says that when Fujifilm launched the GFX system a few years ago, it had sheer perfect lenses. But he noticed that with the latest lens releases, Fujifilm traded in a bit of that perfection to release less perfect, smaller and more affordable lenses.

In this context, he compares the GF110mmF2 to the GF80mmF1.7, the first one being expressions of Fuji’s perfection, the second one, while still being excellent and he actually totally loves to shoot with it, just not being just as perfect as the GF110mmF2.
