Fujifilm FF210005 Registration Spotted

Nokishita spotted the registration for a new Fujifilm camera with the code name FF210005.

Fujifilm’s digital camera “FF210005” has passed Bluetooth certification. (There is a possibility of X-T30 II, but the specifications of Bluetooth described are different)

Don’t worry, there is not another MKII camera coming this year. It’s probably just the X-T30II, but I will take a look at it for you guys.

The Fujifilm X-H2?

Well, I don’t think. Registrations are spotted usually just 1 to 3 months from the camera release, and the Fujifilm X-H2 is definitely more far away.

Sometimes registrations can be spotted after a camera release, like in case of the Fujifilm X-E4.

Fujifilm Releases X-T3 WW for $100 Less Than Regular X-T3

There was a glorious Fujifilm X Summit, where Fujifilm announced new gear, new roadmaps, gave hints on future sensors and more.

But one thing that passed unnoticed was the release of the “new” Fujifilm X-T3 WW (which stands for “worldwide”) that is $100 more affordable than the regular X-T3 (even when discounted!).

It’s a Fujifilm X-T3 sold without battery charger!

At this price, the Fujifilm X-T3 is now a real steal quite frankly.

The Latest and Greatest

Fujifilm Unveils Details About Next APS-C Sensor Generation: BSI, X-Trans and Stacked!

Ok guys, the Fujifilm X summit just ended.

A lot has been shared, from X mount roadmap to GF lens roadmap, new product annoucnements and more. So check out our X summit live coverage.

What almost passed unnoticed, is the very last minute of the video, where Fujifilm announced the next generation sensor for the Fujifilm X system.

According to Fujifilm managers, it will be a stacked backside illuminated X-Trans sensor.

Now, thanks to FujiRumors leaks, we already knew it would be an X-Trans sensor, and we also knew that Sony has indeed a 43 Megapixel stacked BSI sensor available.

And to be clear, during the entire event, the Fujifilm X-H2 has not been mentioned a single time.

However, what we also know thanks to our sources, is that there will be two Fujifilm X-H2 cameras. Will both use this very same sensor? Will both be X-Trans? Or will the difference be on the ergnomic front (selfie vs 3-way tilt screen, PSAM vs retro dials)?

Questions… questions that FujiRumors will answer for you, don’t worry about that. Just follow us.

SURPRISE: Fujifilm X Summit Starting at 9AM EST with Never Rumored Surprises

Do you like surprises? If so, then stay glued on FujiRumors today.

A few hours after I’ve published this article, where I ask the FR-reader community if there is something they’d liked to be surprised with at the X summit at 9AM New York time, trusted sources contacted me and wanted me (and you) to know that at the Fujifilm X summit there will be “so far not rumored surprises“.

I did ask if it’s maybe a development announcement of the Fujifilm X-H2 (or of both Fujifilm X-H2’s I better say), or epic Kaizen firmware announcements and so forth, but no further hints have been given to me, so it will be a surprise for all of us, me included.

One more excellent reason to stay tuned on FujiRumors, where at 9AM New York time we will live stream the Fujifilm X summit and at 10AM New York time we will start the announcement live blog.

BREAKING: One More and Never Rumored X Series Camera Coming 2021

Do you remember when I told you that there won’t be any more X series camera in 2021 and that the next X series camera to hit the market will be the Fujifilm X-H2?

Well, forget about it :).

According to our trusted sources, Fujifilm will launch one more X series camera in 2021.

The camera has never been rumored before (so it can’t be the Fujifilm X-H2).

Digital Camera Market Share 2020: Only Canon, Sony and Fujifilm Grow

Every year, Techno System Research, a major marketing research company located in Japan, publishes the worldwide camera market share data.

And while the data is behind a (very expensive) paywall, the main chart is published by Nikkei and we’ve covered it in the past:

Now the data for 2020 has been released by Techno System Research.

So what changed between 2019 and 2020? Let’s compare:

  • Canon 47.9% (+2.5%)
  • Sony 22.1% (+1.9%)
  • Nikon 13.7% (-4.9%)
  • Fujifilm 5.6% (+0.9%)
  • Panasonic 4.4% (-0.3%)

These top 5 camera companies took 93.8% of the global digital camera market.

Keep in mind that this is the overall digital camera market share (DSLR + Mirrorless + Point & Shoot). So no surprise to see Fujifilm behind Nikon. When it comes to mirrorless data only, until 2019 Fujifilm was clearly ahead of Nikon and on the third position after Sony and Canon.
