These 10 Fujifilm Lenses are Currently “Under Study” – Which one Would You Like to Get? – VOTE NOW

Fujifilm displayed 10 lenses that they have currently “under study”, as we already reported here.

The did let 200 journalists vote on which one they’d like to get.

But I thought Fujifilm should get a little bit of a larger feedback, so I took the 10 lenses and made a survey out them here on FujiRumors.

Please vote the hell out of this survey and give Fujifilm a massive feedback.

Show them what the FujiRumors community is capable of, when it comes to giving feedback to Fujifilm ;)

Fujifilm Displays 10 Lenses “Under Study” and Talks X-Pro, X-E, GFX-R and Fixed Lens GFX Future

With all the talk about the Fujifilm X100VI in these days, we can now report also something interesting for those of you, who are not into the X100 line (thanks to Mistral!).

In a session with journalists, Fujifilm shared 10 lenses that were “under study” and also talked about future X/GFX cameras, as reported by the French website lesnumeriques here, who also is to credit for the images.

(Images at the Top of the Article)

Fujifilm did display 10 lenses currently “under study” by Fujifilm. But please guys, don’t take this as any sort of “roadmap”, for the reasons I’ll explain below.

  • Super-Telephoto Prime lens XF 400mm or longer
    – 11-110mm diameter
    – weight 1,300-1,400g
  • XF120mmF2 (in between XF90mmF2 and XF200mmF2)
    – Size 140-160mm
    – 90-110mm diameter
    – 900-1,000g
  • Super Wide-angle Fast Lens for Astro Photography
    – Size 80-100mm
    – 70-80mm diameter
    – weight 400-600g
  • XF 23mm Pancake
    – size 20-40mm
    – 60-65mm diameter
    – Weight 80-100g
  • Super Zoom Lens XF 16-200mm
    – size 120-140mm
    – 70-80 diameter
    – weight 600-800g
  • Tele-Photo Zoom Lens at F4
    – size 120-130mm
    – 70-80 diameter
    – weight 500-700g
  • Compact Wide Zoom Lens at F2.8
    – size 70-90mm
    – 60-75mm diameter
    – weight 200-300g
  • Fish-Eye Lens
    – size 50-60mm
    – 55-70 diameter
    – weight 200-300g
  • Affordable Thin Standard Zoom Lens – XC Lineup
    – size 30-40mm
    – 60-70mm diameter
    – weight 100-130G
  • Affordable Wide Zoom Lens – XC Lineup
    – Size 40-50mm
    – 60-70mm diameter
    – weight 130-170g

It’s not the first time that Fujiflm gave us a list of “lenses under study“. It happened also back in 2019, when they even wanted us to vote on those lenses (as they wanted the journalists to vote on the lenses we display today). And if we look at the list, except for some MKII lenses, not much on that list ever materialized in a real product.

So don’t take it as a solid indication on anything.

These are the Three Cameras Fujifilm Will Launch in the First Half of 2024

The Trinity

We can now say with 100% certainty that

But after I’ve shared the rumor, I have noticed some misunderstandings. So let me address those first, and then we’ll talk about each of the three cameras

Is it All We’ll Get?

So, I told you that there will be three cameras, and that they will come in 2024.

But I didn’t mean to say that all we get in 2024 are these three cameras, and all of them will come in the first half of 2024 (as I see reported around on Forums etc).

I was referring to the fact that initially we told you that there will be “3 or more cameras” coming in first half 2024, and now we can be more specific and confirm that the number of cameras will be 3.

So to be clear I want to remark: I don’t know how many cameras will be launched in the entire year 2024. What I know so far is that there will be 3 cameras in the first half (the replacements of these models), and there will be potentially more cameras in the second half of 2024. But so far I have no rumors about it.

So there is still the second half of 2024 where Fujifilm could have potentially lots of time to please us with much more gear.

And I promise that after the imminent X100VI-centric X Summit I will try to find out more about it.

Anyway, let me quickly talk about each of the three cameras.

Camera 1

Fujifilm X100VI

The first one to come is of course the Fujifilm X100VI, which will see the light of the day tomorrow.

There is not much to guess around, as we have already leaked all the core specs here on FujiRumors.

Now all we have to do is to wait for the Fujifilm X Summit tomorrow and enjoy the launch, which will be covered non-stop here on FujiRumors.

So, all you have to do, is to sit down, relax, and just follow FujiRumors.

UPDATED WITH ADDITIONAL MESSAGE – Message to Anonymous Source who Contacted me a Few Hours Ago (and a Message to Readers)

To Readers: A few hours ago I received a message from an anonymous source. It came to me via rumor box, so I have no idea, who it is and how to contact it. My only way to contact the source is via FujiRumors. I hope you don’t mind, but making a public post is the only way to reach out to the source.

I know these article are not very appreciated by you. But if this article works, then soon we could have even more leaks. So I hope articles like this (which happen maybe 3 times a year) are an acceptable compromise for you.

UPDATE To the SOURCE NR 2.

Just received another message (from another source??). You can resend. No problem. I will handle the information exactly as you ask me to do. And thanks for the Nickname!

TO THE SOURCE Nr.1

First of all, thanks for contacting me. I just wanted to tell you that I do not have the material you told me you have. Which is why you definitely triggered my rumor-radars :).

If you want, you can send it to me (and tell me how to handle it).

You should be able to upload material directly via rumor box.

But you can also:

  • contact me via private message on Facebook, Twitter/X or Instagram
  • contact me via email at fujirumor@gmail.com (you can use a fake email if you want, but after 11+ years of rumor-blogging, I can guarantee you that you’ll remain 100% anonymous also if you’d decide to use your regular email)

Thanks so much again.

Fujifilm X-Pro4: Here is the Truth!

I’ll give it to you straight.

I’ll give it to you raw.

Because there is no better way to bring you rumors of this kind.

The long awaited and much anticipated successor of this camera here, the Fujifilm X-Pro4, will not come in 2024.

Could it come in 2025, or maybe 2026, or 2045? Will it ever come?

I don’t know. All I know is that we will not get it in 2024.

I have spoken.

And in the video above I will give you the best tip ever to deal with this rumor ;).

Fujifilm’s List of 40MP Supported Lenses has One Big Mystery!

The Famous List – Updated

Last time we gave you an update on which Fujinon lenses will get maximum benefit from the 40MP sensors, it was back in 2022.

Since then, Fujifilm has updated the list with new lenses. But for some obscure reason, they hide the list somewhere in a tab inside the Fujifilm X-H2 product page.

So I have collected all lenses currently listed by Fujifilm into a single page on my Amazon page here. I will update the list as soon as Fujifilm adds new lenses to it.

An Important Clarification

Don’t misunderstand it: it’s not that lenses that are not on the list won’t work on Fujifilm’s 40MP camera bodies. It’s just that, unlike other companies who do not disclose anything, Fujifilm was upfront and told customers which lenses will be able to resolve all the 40MP and which ones not.

But also lenses not on the list, will profit from higher resolution cameras. Fujifilm writes:

The list specifies Fujifilm’s selection of lenses that have high resolution performance from edge to edge at maximum aperture, allowing to fully experience all that the 40MP sensor has to offer. Lenses not listed will also allow you to experience the improved resolution performance of the 40MP sensor.

The One Mystery
