the Fujifilm EF-42 is one of the Fuji flashes available at the market. More flash units are needed… and maybe coming within the next few months.

A couple of weeks ago, an anonymous source told us that Fuji plans to launch new flashes “later this year” (see this rumor). Well, today a new source confirmed the rumor, and said that a powerful flash with remote communication and HSS will be launched within the next few months.

Sure, it’s still all unconfirmed (ergo: grain of salt is needed), but the number of hints is growing. For now, the question is if the flash will be available by the end of this year or we have to wait until early 2015.

I remind you the Nissin i40 flash should be available late fall (mid-November, according to BHphoto).

Maybe their was a grain of truth in rumors shared back in June, when some sources told me about an X-T1 upgrade/limited edition.

In fact, according to the anonymous source with nick-name (thanks a lot) who’s sharing a lot of stuff, there will be a new “Graphite Silver Edition” X-T1 and it will cost $200 more than the [shoplink 21553]“classic” Fujifilm X-T1[/shoplink].

It should feature the (already rumored) 1/32,000 electronic shutter speed and the Classic Chrome film simulation.

The silver version will also come with deluxe accessories like a leather shoulder strap and aluminum hot shoe cover.

Push the “read more” button for an updated reliability rating and the rumor check 2014

A few months ago, there was an anonymous source with nick name, who shared a correct rumor about the X-T1 with us (SRP = source right in the past). This source just wrote me for the second time and told us that Fuji will launch a new Film Simulation called „Classic Chrome“.

That’s all the source said. So for now… take it with… a grain of salt.

If true, I think we will see this film simulation coming with the X30 and X100T… and maybe it could also be one of the features introduced in the rumored upcoming X-T1 firmware update. But that’s just my personal guess for now, so DO NOT take it as a rumor from a FR-source.

P.S.: And in case you just came back from holidays and didn’t read FR in the last weeks, then here is a little rumor roundup and reliability rating for you. Also a rumor check-up of 2014, which will have a big update after photokina I suppose.

I know, other rumor sites reported rumors of an X30 with a 1“ sensor (or bigger). But according to our top trusted Japanese source, that’s not correct. The sensor will remain a 2/3 one. I have no reason to doubt what the trusted Japanese source told me.
