Win $3,000 by Pre-ordering the Fujifilm GFX at BHphoto via FujiRumors – SWEEPSTAKE

Just as we did last year with the Fujifilm X-Pro2, FujiRumors & BHphoto are teaming up to offer you a great Sweepstake that could allow you to make your Fujifilm GFX purchase almost 50% cheaper ;)

In fact, starting from now,  January 19 at 0:30 AM New York Time through February 9, 2017, FujiRumors readers will have the chance to win $3,000.

How?

Just purchase the Fujifilm GFX from B&H through the link provided on the FujiRumors website during the Entry period, and voilá, you are in :)

Here are the main Sweepstake Conditions* and Details:

  • You must be US resident and at least 18 years old
  • You can enter starting from January 19 at 00:30 AM NY-Time, through February 9, 2017
  • Click on any Fujifilm GFX B&H link from our website and pre-order the GFX on that visit.
  • The BHphoto system will track your FujiRumors GFX pre-order and you will automatically enter the contest. You will not get any email notification that you joined the sweepstake.
  • One (1) winner will be selected randomly by BHphoto on or about April 3, 2017
  • The winner will get an AMEX gift card pre-valued at $3000

And if you are one those, who thinks “I never win something“, then you might check out the FujiRumors guest post of last years’ X-Pro2 sweepstake winner Frank Stein here, who said:

I never win anything. I do not count multiple wins of detention in junior high school – but that was 50 years ago. So, needless to say, I was surprised to be the winner of the Fuji Rumors/B&H Photo “Win a X-Pro2” contest.”

I mean, already the entries for the X-Pro2 were quite limited… and way less people will pre-order the GFX… which means your chances to win are not that bad ;)

So pre-order the Fujifilm GFX at BHphoto here… and good luck to everyone,

EPIC Fujifilm GFX & Co Launch Party on January 19 at 6-7AM Berlin Time (00:00-01:00 AM NY-Time)… So Prepare a Lot of Coffee ;)

THE ANNOUNCEMENT TIME

Finally, after 20 months (!!!) from the first Medium Format rumor here, the GFX will present itself to the world in its final vest… along with other big shots like the X100F, X-T20 and XF50/2.

I tell you, it was a very long and strenous rumor marathon, but the best has yet to come… and a mix of excitiment and caffeine is pushing me to the arguably most awesome Fujifilm announcement ever here on FR.

It will happen on January 19 at the usual time, so around 06:00-07:00 AM in Berlin (00:00-01:00 AM in New York).

I’m 100% focussed and highly motivated for the terrific live blogging tomorrow: I’ve delegated my mother to take care of my dog, my Moka is in permanent operation already and I’ve organized everything so that I don’t have to work at school.

So all you have to do is to sit down, refresh FujiRumors, and enjoy the continuous live updates covering non stop and in real-time the announcement on January 19… and beyond!

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, RSS-feed and Twitter… and to allow push notifications for instant updates (click the bell icon on the bottom right of your browser).

Will FujiRumors Buy the Fujifilm GFX?

Now, I’m truely happy for everybody, who can afford a Fujifilm GFX. I’ve tried everything to raise some money for that wonderful beast, too, but I must say that the GFX is simply something I can’t currently afford… and below you can see what my banker thinks about it.

But I hope that maybe one day the Fujifilm X-E3 will mitigate my pain for not getting the X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20 and GFX.

A Coffee Maybe?

Heart, Soul and Passion are prerequisites to run FujiRumors, but sadly not enough to keep this blog open. At the end of the day, I also have to pay the bills generated by this site.

So, if you appreciate my work here on FujiRumors, then, on January 19, you have the opportunity to support FujiRumors at absolutely no (!!) extra costs for you, simply by pre-ordering your gear using the FujiRumors links to BHphoto, AmazonUS, Adorama & Co. Your support will allow me to keep this little space in the world wide web open… and also to cover my growing need for coffee ;).

With all that said, now just relax and let me do the job. Simply stay tuned on FujiRumors, and I will provide you every information available on the web regarding the new Fuji gear.

We are going to have a Great Week :)

The Big Fujifilm GFX Recap :: Everything We Know is Here… RGB Color Histogram, Base ISO 100, AF-Points + Much More!

Here is a big GFX Overview, based on information Fujifilm shared at the Photokina 2016 and later, and also based on Rumors you could find here on FujiRumors. I’ll mark with “R” the rumors and with “F” the facts, although keep in mind that even the facts revealed earlier by Fujifilm could have changed in the meantime.

Everything you can read below has already been published on FR starting from September 2016, but I thought a Recap could be useful, since I keep getting emails with questions, that have already been answered in the past, but given the huge amount of information are easy to miss.

I strongly recommend you to allow push notifications and follow us on Facebook, RSS-feed and Twitter in order not to miss anything.

The Fujifilm GFX (and Lenses) will Start Shipping February 23 (in USA) – Annoucement January 19

The current shipping embargo of the Fujifilm GFX is February 23. Of course there can be changes anytime, mostly depending on eventual last second firmware issues. But also in that case, Fujifilm will work hard to ship the GFX before the end of March, when the Japanese fiscal year is ending and Fujifilm would like to share some positive GFX sale numbers with its investors ;)

The shipping embargo rumor is for USA, but it should apply to all the world (maybe it will ship even earlier in Japan).

Recent rumor confirm, that the price for the body + lens (63mm) will be of $8000

Possible Fujifilm GFX Pricing – Body $6499 ($8,000 with lens)

First reports about the GFX pricing surface on the web. Here are the first specualtions:

The FX50s body with EVF will be priced $6,499
Fujinon GF 32-64mm f/4 lens $2,299
Fujinon GF 63mm f/2.8 lens $1,499
Fujinon GF 120mm f/4 macro lens $2,599

So it confirms older rumors, that body + lens (63mm) will cost $8000

PhaseOne Managment Corrects: “Fujifilm GFX Support? We Have Not Yet Decided. It Depends on the GFX Market Impact”

Just recently I told you, how Phase One said that they will not support the GFX, since it’s a competitor to their core business.

Today I have an update for you. Phase One Support partially rectified this statement and now says:

It seems I may have spoken too quickly based on old policies. Product management has recently informed me that no decision has been made on this camera and instead they are weighing the market impact on each camera regardless of format.”

So there is still hope… but first the GFX has to sell like hot cakes :)  – via Fujifilm GFX Facebook Group.
