Dear (Future) Fujifilm GFX100 II Owners – Who Are You? – VOTE NOW

I have a curiosity.

A curiosity only you guys can satisfy.

And more precisely, those of you, who pre-ordered the Fujifilm GFX100 II.

So the curiosity is this one: where are you coming from?

Are you maybe a Full Frame or APS-C shooter who bought into the GFX system for the first time thanks to the GFX100II?

Or maybe you already own a GFX camera, but you decided to upgrade to GFX100 II?

Feel free to let us know by voting the survey down below.

IMPORTANT: the survey is ONLY for those who Pre-Ordered the Fujifilm GFX100 II. Do NOT vote if you did not pre-order the GFX100 II

Fujifilm to Produce 1,500 Fujifilm GFX100 II per Month Initially

The Fujifilm GFX100 II will start shipping in late September.

Hopefully there will be enough samples around, because initially Fujifilm will produce 1,500 Fujifilm GFX100 II samples a month.

Now, I have no idea how pre-orders are going, but 1,500 units a month does not sound like a whole lot of cameras.

But what I know is that the Fujifilm GFX100 II is a fantastic camera and if it gets the success that it deserves, then I am afraid that there could be shortages with the shipping.

Fujifilm GFX100 II IBIS Performance with GF Lenses (vs GFX100S)

Thanks to a new smart system that relies not only on the gyro sensor to stabilise the sensor, but also uses data from the image sensor itself to fine tune stabilisation (more about it in our X summit summary), the Fujifilm GFX100II is capable of achieving 8 stops IBIS.

But this peak 8 stops performance is achieved not with all lenses.

In the chart above shared by Ken L Photo (in text format below) you can see how many stops of IBIS you get on the GFX100II with each GF lens. Also, you get the IBIS performance comparison with the Fujifilm GFX100S.

Fujifilm GFX100 II Explained by Fujifilm Managers and Talking Firmware Updates for X/GFX – CineD Interview

CineD sat down with product planning manager Makoto Oishi-san and product planner Taiji Yoneda-san to talk about the GFX line and what makes the Fujifilm GFX100 II special.

You can and should watch the 24 minutes video above. But if you are in a hurry, I will provide also a quick summary below.

There is also a little section about firmware udpates, where Johnnie from CineD asks for one feature available on X-S20 to come via firmware update to GFX100II, and one available on GFX100II to come to X-H2, X-H2S, X-T5 and X-S20.

In short: if the request from users is strong, Fujifilm might make it happen. So guys, you know what you have to do in the comments now ;).

The Fujifilm GFX100II will ship on September 26, but the new X App as well as the older Camera Remote App have already added support for the Fujifilm GFX100II.

Unless you use a camera that is not supported by the new X App, especially after the latest X App update, you can happily uninstall the Camera Remote App and stick with the new X App only.
