26 Fujifilm Products win “iF Design Award 2025” – Including “Film Simulations”

A total of 26 Fujifilm products have won the iF Design Award 2025.

This is a testament on how healthy of a company Fujifilm is. Not because they won the awards, but because they have so much money to waste on these meaningless stuff.

That’s all as far as photographic equipment goes. Then there are MRI machines, Bronchoscopes and more things. If you want to see the full list go here.

RECORD: Fujifilm GFX100RF Most Preordered GFX on FujiRumors and Soon Catching X-T4

So, how are things going with the Fujifilm GFX100RF?

Well, I don’t know. I don’t have the figures of stores worldwide. The only reliable metric I can compare it to, is the preorders here on FujiRumors.

And looking at that, the Fujifilm GFX100RF is doing very well.

It is already by far the most preordered GFX camera of all time.

But not only that.

It is also about to surpass the X-T4 preorders (could be only a matter of hours), which would then make it the 4th most preordered camera on FujiRumors after the (unreachable) X100VI, X-T5 and X-T3. And even the X-T3 is not that far away anymore, so the GFX100RF is very likely to become the third most pre-ordered camera ever on FujiRumors within a few days from now.

Sure, this is data limited to FujiRumors, and we know they are not indicative for overall sales. But in general, what is well received among the FR community does not become an epic failure on the worldwide market.

Now, I hope Fujifilm is well prepared this time and there won’t be big delays. But if you are in the market for a GFX100RF, maybe, just to be on safe side, I would not wait all too long to place my order.

Fujifilm GFX100RF Additional Image Leaked with Best View on Fixed GF Lens

So guy, a source has sent us another image of the Fujifilm GFX100RF.

This time we can recognize very well the size of the Fujinon GF35mmF1.4 lens.

Looks pretty compact if you ask me. Of course, if you want it faster, then you have to accept also a bigger lens, a heavier lens, a more expensive camera and all that comes with it. But evidently Fujifilm chose compactness.

And remember, the f/4 on GFX gives you about the same depth of field as the X100VI with its F2 lens, and people seem to be pretty happy with their X100VI.

Fujifilm X-M5 Sales Suspended in Japan

The sales of Fujifilm X-M5 cameras has been suspended in Japan, as reported by asobinet.

This is now a recurrent theme in the Fujifilm world: new gear gets announced and it sells just way better than Fujifilm can keep up with in terms of production.

The X-M5 stock situation isn’t much better elsewhere as you can see in the stores listed below.

I don’t think this has anything to do with a general revival of entry level cameras, but more with the exploding popularity of the Fujifilm system.

As of today, Fujifilm might well be the one system that keeps its value best over time. So it’s also easier to buy into a system that you know won’t lose value quickly (and if, then only by a small margin). Just recently I chatted with a FR-reader, who told me he recently sold the X100V for the same price he bought it many years ago. That’s not a bad deal.
