The Superb Fujinon XF33mmF1.4 Lens Is Now Cheaper Than It Was at Launch

At the time of writing, Amazon is offering the Fujinon XF33mmF1.4 R LM WR for $789. The regular retail price is $949 (raised due to U.S. tariffs), while the original launch price was $799.

The lens is shipped and sold directly by “Amazon.com“, and it’s listed as a “New” item. However, Amazon also labels it as a “replacement lens” — a somewhat unclear designation. Considering that other Fujinon lenses marked the same way (such as the XF16mmF2.8) are sold by Amazon Germany, it’s possible that Amazon has internally transferred stock from its European warehouses to the U.S. to work around stricter import tariffs.

Besides that, there are also the 2-days only Amazon Prime Deals running. You basically save 20% on Viltrox AF X mount lenses, all sorts of storage media and much more. I’ll share a list of selected deals below.

LEAKED: Fujinon XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 Finally Fixes What (Most) Photographers Hated About the XC15-45

We told you Fujifilm will launch the Fujinon XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 in 2025.

I don’t know if this is going to replace the Fujinon XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ, but since it is coming in 2025, I would not be surprised if the Fujinon XC13-33mm would be the new kit lens for the upcoming Fujifilm X-T30 III.

With that said, was a new kit lens really needed?

Well, some might appreciate the wider end (13 instead of 15). But there is another difference that for me is even more important: the new Fujinon XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 will get rid of the PZ (powerzoom) and have mechanical zoom.

For me this is a welcome change as I vastly prefer mechanical zooms. And if I read through the comments in the last few weeks, I have the impression that most of you also prefer it over the powerzoom.

The last powerzoom I owned was this one, but that is from the times before I went all-in with Fujifilm MILC and I was still trying to find the best mirrorless system for my needs. It was a fine lens, I certainly loved its compactness, but I never grew fond of the powerzoom function.

I’m glad to see that the XC13–33mmF3.5–6.3 features a mechanical zoom—this alone makes the lens feel much more practical and worthwhile to me.

But I am curious to read what you have to say about it in the comments.

Do you own the Fujinon XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ. Do you love the powerzoom or did you often wish for a mechanical zoom on it?

Fujinon XC 13-33mm to Be Launched Along with Fujifilm X-T30 III

Little update regarding the rumored Fujinon XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3.

The lens will be offered also as a kit lens for the upcoming Fujifilm X-T30 III, hence they will be launched together this month.

I am not sure if it is basically going to replace this kit lens here, but it certainly sounds like that.

Fujinon XC 13-33mm F3.5-6.3 Expected Size and Specs – Shared by Fujifilm

You might remember how back in February 2024, Fujifilm shared a list of 10 lenses “under study“.

Well, one of those lenses was a vague “affordable wide angle XC zoom lens“.

Now, thanks to FujiRumors sources, that lens has a name: Fujinon XC13-33mmF3.5-6.4. And it’s coming in 2025.

Back in February Fujifilm also shared estimated specs and size about such a lens.

  • Affordable Wide Zoom Lens – XC Lineup
    – Size 40-50mm
    – 60-70mm diameter
    – weight 130-170g

FR-reader Hiergeist took the size specs shared by Fujifilm and created a rendering of such a lens mounted on the Fujifilm X-H2. In dark green you see the 40mm size/60mm diameter, in brighter green the 50mm size/70mm diameter.

For comparison, here are the specs of the current XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ.

  • Fujinon XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ
    – Size 44.2 mm
    – 62.6mm diameter
    – weight 135g

Now, out of the 10 lenses under study, we already got two of them. And with the XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 on the way, we now have only 7 left on the list.

If you want to know which 7 lenses are left (and its specs), check out the article here.

Meike 33mm f/1.4 XF Autofocus Lens Now Available

The new Meike 33mm f/1.4 XF APS-C Prime lens is now available at BHphoot here and Meike here.

It should soon be listed also at Amazon here and Adorama here.

This is Meike’s 3rd autofocus lens for Fujifilm X mount.

And yes, I know we usually say “the more, the merrier”, and I agree with that.

But this focal length is already well covered and maybe it would be a good move by third party manufacturer to offer something different and not yet covered by other brands.

And maybe even more importantly: why not offer G mount autofocus lenses?

Also promised to come for X mount are the Meike AF 16mm f/1.4 and Meike AF 23mm f/1.4.

Meike AF 33mm f/1.4 Shipping Starts

The already teased/announced Meike AF 33mm f/1.4 has now started shipping in Asia according to reports shared at the Japanese website asobinet.

What an exciting and much needed lens (*sarcasm).

No seriously. The more, the merrier. But I still believe third parties are missing out on a chance by releasing already existing AF lenses instead of coming up with something new that fills wholes in the Fujinon X mount lens lineup.

But it is what it is. And the specs are below.

  • Meike AF 33mm F1.4
  • Retail price: 1199 yuan
  • Advance price: 1099 yuan
  • Format: APS-C
