B&H Strikes Back at Amazon: Huge Deals Including 15% Rebate on Viltrox X Mount Lenses

Amazon has just launched its huge Amazon Prime deals.

But B&H Photo does not want to leave the deal show to Amazon alone, and has launched its own huge 2 days deals.

Worth a special mention, there is a 15% rebate on pretty much all Viltrox X mount lenses. I’ll list a few below

7Artisans is now teasing the 7Artisans AF 35mm f/1.4 APS-C autofocus lens.

Just for comparison, the Fujinon XF33mm f/1.4 has a diameter of 67 and a length of 73.5 and it weights 360g.

As opposed to many other autofocus lenses in this range, at least this one looks rather compact and light, making it stand out a bit from the other 33/35mm f/1.4 offerings.

Sirui Sniper 16mm f/1.2 and Sirui Sniper 75mm f/1.2 for Fujifilm X

While I appreciate having more options and fast lenses for the Fujifilm X mount, and hence I welcome the new Sirui Sniper 16mm f/1.2 and Sirui Sniper 75mm f/1.2, I wonder why, for the most part, third parties are not jumping into filling the wholes in the Fujinon X mount lens lineup and expand the creative and photographic opportunities for Fujifilm X shooters.

At least they come also in fancy white, though, which is a rare thing in the X mount lineup, except for some of the limited edition Viltrox lenses.

X100VI Stock Check

Fujinon XF 8mm F2.8, XF 10mm F2.8 and XF 15mm F2.8 Patents Spotted

New Fujifilm patents surfaced on the web. They are for the following Fujinon lenses:

  • Fujinon XF 8mm f/2.8
  • Fujinon XF 10mm f/2.8
  • Fujinon XF 15mm f/2.8

Probably just variation of patents shared in the last 10+ years, such as:

The patents have been spotted by the Japanese website asobinet.

And remember, Fujifilm has also patented this foldable smartphone, so that one has to come soon, too :).

More seriously: Fujifilm recently said they have 10 lenses currently under study. Look up at those to see a more realistic list of lenses that might come at some point.

Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 and 40mm f/2.5 Images (and Samples) Leaked

New images of the Viltrox 56mm f/1.7 and Viltrox 40mm f/2.5 are now appearing on Chinese social media Weibo. They include some sample images, but they are low resolution.

Both lenses should be announced in April as we reported here.

New Image of Viltrox 135mm f/1.8 LAB and 40mm f/2.5 Autofocus Lenses

Recently Viltrox updated their roadmap which included:

Now new images of two of the upcoming new Viltrox lenses appeared (see above):

  • 135mm f/1.8 FE autofocus lens (this will be viltrox first High Quality lens of the new “LAB” series)
  • 40mm f/2.5 FE autofocus lens

No info yet about pricing and release date.

In the past, Viltrox has also teased zoom lenses coming, but so far they have not added any on the roadmap.
