Fuji US deal action pushes the X-T1 sales on Amazon.

Bildschirmfoto 2014-10-27 um 19.08.38

Well, the new Fuji US deals offensive simply works!

The X-T1 is the current bestseller at the Amazon US ranking (Click here to see the full list). And among the lenses the 23 and 56mm primes are doing fine (Full Mirrorless+SLR lens ranking here). Would be great if Fuji could launch such rebate actions worldwide so that every FR reader could benefit from them!

RAWTHERAPEE

Over a month ago FR-reader Dean told me that Rawtherapee added a preliminary support for X-TRANS RAF files. But it was still a early support, so we decided to wait for the final and stable version before sharing this news on Fujirumors… and now the day has come.

You can download Rawtherapee ver. 4.2.1 (not for Yosemite) 100% free at their download page here. For the press-release click here.

Now it’s up to X-shooters to give it a try… test it and feel free to drop your comment down below.

FIRST OFF: Thanks a lot, Etienne (blog) for the samples and your impressions.

Check out his blog about 1 year travel he did with his Fujis here at pack2life!

We are still waiting for Fujifilm to upload their official samples… so in the meantime you can find some on Fujirumors. This time it’s FR-reader Etienne, who shared with us some of his samples taken with the upcoming XF 50-140mm f/2.8 OIS WR and XF 56mm f/1.2 APD

I’ll just share one low resolution image (with crop) taken with the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 OIS WR at 140 f/2.8 (above) and one shot with the XF 56mm f/1.2 APD (at the bottom). For all the full resolution samples, download them at dropbox here. The samples are really very sharp!

He also send us 3 things he has noticed during this event:

  • the 90mm is really huge compared to the 56mm (ok the 140-400mm is even bigger but not too long for this range)
  • the tripod collar of the preproduction 50-140mm can’t be entirely removed of the lens. The collar will stay but you can “only” remove the L shape part that is attached to the tripod (with 2 screws). It is actually different from the Canon 70-200mm f/4 I had in the past (no screws like this). I don’t know if it is going to be the same thing on the final model. I don’t really like it this way.
  • the electronic shutter once activated made the X.T1 a perfect silence camera (I tried that on the graphite X-T1).

Also the threeguyswithcameras was at the event, and they posted their samples and impressions here.

It’s been a while since I last posted an X-shooter zone. In fact, last month was a pretty busy one, with all the rumors/news related to Fuji latest products (X30, X100T, Graphite X-T1, XF 50-140 and the XF56mmAPD) + the non stop photokina coverage.

Well, now it’s time to focus again on the beauty of the images. So I jumped over to the FR-facebook photostream and looked at all the images shared there by X-shooter all over the world… and I really loved what I saw. Congratulations to the winners of this edition for their inspiring shots!

I’d also like to say a big THANK YOU to all those X-shooters, who decided to share their images at the FR-facebook photostream and those who looked at them and voted their favorite ones… feel free to keep it up.

HOT TO SHARE & VOTE IMAGES: go to the Fujirumors timeline, click “Photo/Video” and post your image and your comment. They will then be visible at the FR-facebook photostream. The most liked ones will be featured in the next X-shooter Facebook zone.

Have a great Sunday

– STOCKOGRAFIE: “This photograph was taken in Beijing after a long night flight. It was early in the afternoon and far too early for bed so I went out to relax a bit with my X-T1 and the Zeiss Touit 1.8/32. I participated in the „Zeiss for Photokina“ contest with this photograph and it was one of the last three. Due to this it was also shown at the Zeiss booth at Photokina.”

– Joshua Moss: “Hello, I thought I would send a quick note about the performance of the Fuji 50-230mm. I shot with this lens at the zoo and was amazed at the quality. This lens is also amazingly light. I believe it is an underrated lens in the Fuji lineup with an unbelievable cost to value ratio. I hope fuji continues to develop these light affordable lenses.
