Despite the crazy X-H1 rebate and the big X-T3 savings, the Fujifilm X-Pro3 stood its ground, and, at least here on FujiRumors, enjoyed a good start. But sure, once the launch-frenzy settles down, the X-T3 will claim its top spot again.

Capture One Pro 12 is on an unstoppable victory parade, being by a very (!!!) large margin your top choice when it comes to RAW editing software. Nothing comes close it, even though Luminar 4 is on a worthy second place (but still worlds away from Capture One Pro).
As I told you, I myself left Adobe forever, to go all in with Capture One Pro 12.
Let’s keep it short and clear: the Fujifilm X100V will NOT have the hidden LCD screen of the Fujifilm X-Pro3.
And to be even more clear: the Fujifilm X-Pro3 will be the ONLY Fujifilm camera with the hidden screen for the years to come. It’s unique to X-Pro3. Whatever comes, Fujifilm X-H2, Fujifilm X-T4, X-T40, X-E4, X100V, any GFX camera and more…. none of them will have the hidden screen.
Fujifilm X-Pro4? Well, I don’t know if it still has the hidden screen. As it is scheduled for 2023 anyway, I think not even Fujifilm itself knows at this point.

Mark was at a Fujifilm X-Pro3 launch event. The interesting part of his report, is in regards to the Fujifilm X100V:
I also got a little bit of gossip from the Fujifilm rep on the x100 refresh: He said that he has seen three mock ups of potential designs, two of which have flip screens (with one modelled on the Xpro3’s). He also said that there have been serious discussions about weather sealing – whatever that means.
If the report is accurate, a tilt screen is an option Fujifilm is currently considering. Remains to see which kind of tilt screen it could be (but it could still be a fixed LCD).
Weather sealing?
I think that’s possible. FujiRumors already told you exclusively that the Fujifilm X100V will have a new lens, so Fujifilm could have grabbed the opportunity to re-design the lens making it weather sealed.
But I’d like to know in the poll below, if you think the Fujifilm X100V should have a tilt screen or not.

Capture One Pro 12.1.4 has been released with support for Fujifilm X-Pro3, Fujifilm X-A7, several bug fixes as well as a new built-in wedding workspace.
Also Mac OS Catalina support (thru version 15.1).

Well, given the massive buzz over the last few weeks surrounding the Fujifilm X-Pro3, we can definitely say that Fujifilm avoided the worst: not being talked about!
And believe me, if the X-Pro3 would have just been an X-Pro2 with X-T3 specs, the reaction on the web would have been: “ok… nice… next!”
With Fujifilm’s bold and polarizing hidden LCD screen, the Fujifilm X-Pro3 is now on everyone’s lips (and Oscar Wilde thinks that’s already good).

Not all Fujifilm X-Pro3’s are made equal.
Well, they are actually all made out of tough titanium, that make for a particularly durable and solid camera.
But then there are those DURA X-Pro3’s, that are covered by a special coating, that should make the X-Pro3 also super-scratch resistant.
Just a marketing claim?
Well, Gerald Undone was bold enough to make a scratch test on a pre-production DURA silver X-Pro3.
In the video below you can see him taking a blade and scratching hard on the surface of the silver DURA Fujifilm X-Pro3. At the end he says:
No matter how hard I tried, the scuffs just wiped away with just my finger. Pretty cool stuff.
So you are going to pay extra to get the special DURA X-Pro3 coating, but you get indeed a very scratch resistant camera. So one less thing to worry about ;).
