The Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD has just been announced.

We have it covered its launch here.

But here is one important thing that should not pass unnoticed: the official list of supported Fujifilm cameras, hence I will share it now in a dedicated article.

The Fujifilm cameras compatible with the new Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD are:

Fujifilm Removes X-T4 and X-E4 from their Japanese Catalog Page

We already told you that major Japanese stores marked the X-T4, X-E4 and X-T30II as discontinued.

Now we have another puzzle piece to add to this: as you can see from the screenshot above, Fujifilm has removed the Fujifilm X-T4 and X-E4 from their Japanese product catalog.

The last available Google cached version of September 2021 still shows both items on the website.

What does this mean for Fujifilm X-T5, X-E4 and X-T30II? Well, I have tried to explain it as good as possible here.

New Fujifilm Camera Remote App to Be Called “X-App”… but Will it Really Come in September?

When we shared the rumor about Fujifilm working on an all new camera remote App, we got hundreds of comments of pure joy.

And if you were wondering (like me), if the new App would also get an all new name so that we can get over the “Camera Remote” trauma faster, I am pleased to report that it will.

In fact, I have been told that right now Fujifilm is likely going to call the new app “X-App”.

  • I CAN HEAR YOU SHOUT: “Who Cares!”.

I get it… but to me, the fact that the App will get a totally new name is at the same time a strong indication that it is an all new and totally re-written App, which is great news!

As the App is not yet out, I would not be totally surprised if the final name would be another one. But for now it’s “X-App”. And in any case, it will surely be a totally new App with a new name.

  • I CAN HEAR YOU SHOUT: “When Will it Come!”

I have heard some claiming it will come in September, based on what a German manager supposedly said here. But since I speak German, I can tell you that at no point of the interview the manager mentioned any new App coming at all. It goes without saying that therefore he also didn’t say it will come in September.

So what I can say is that I don’t know when it will be released. I can’t exclude September, but I also can’t exclude October, November, December or just anything at this point.

But I just want to make clear that neither any manager nor FujiRumors have announced a new App coming in September.

So please, don’t be disappointed if it won’t come in September… but know that it will come for sure and Fujifilm is working on it.

CONFIRMED: No Battery Grip Option for Fujifilm X-T5 – TRUSTED SOURCE

You might remember when back in July we told you that the Fujifilm X-T5 won’t have the vertical battery grip option, making it the first Fujifilm X-T camera ever without one (the X-T1 was the first Fujifilm X camera ever to even offer a vertical battery grip, the VG-XT1).

For 76% of you guys the lack of battery grip is not a dealbreaker, but there is still a respectable 24% of potential X-T5 buyers, who would not buy the X-T5 because of that.

For those 24% the hope was high that the rumor is wrong, given the fact that it came from a new source.

However, we can now confirm by trusted sources, that the Fujifilm X-T5 will indeed have no vertical battery grip option.

A Japanese Fujifilm manager recently said that they are working on developing “WOW” products.

So I’d like to hear from you guys what would make you say “WOW”. I’ll start the list with three products that I have the feeling would make quite some of you happy.

Feel free to extend the list in the comments.

These Fujifilm Products Won the EISA Awards

Many years ago a bunch of people had a brilliant idea: why don’t we team up to give away meaningless awards that companies will pay us lots of money to “win”.

The idea turned out to be extremely successful.

Since then, once a year, on a tropical island sipping their mojito’s, a group of people meets with the difficult task to make up as many categories as possible to make every brand win and maximize their profits.

Today the concept still works, the tropical islands have fast WiFi, and selecting winners has become more fun than ever.

Anyone out there who wants to team up with to create an award?

We can discuss this idea on my all time favorite place in the Caribbeans (where I jumped from 46 feet cliff as you can see here).

* this is a satirical post (sort of)

And the Award goes to…

New York City Center of Fujifilm World: X Summit on September 8 and Fujikina on September 10

New York City is about to become the center of the Fujifilm world soon.

But I’ve noticed some misunderstandings. So let me clarify.

In the past, Fujifilm called their product launch events “Fujikina” (with reference to the former largest photography fair Photokina). But after Photokina was axed, Fujifilm changed the name for the launch events to “Fujifilm X Summit“.

But suddenly, Fujikina is back. In fact, there will be one on September 10 in New York. So some people thought that this will be the day when Fujifilm will announce new gear.

However, that won’t be the case. The latest and greatest Fujifilm gear will be announced during the X summit on September 8, which will also take place in New York.

Here are the events:

  • Sep. 8 at 2PM EST – Fujifilm X Summit with new product announcements
  • Sep. 10 all day – Fujikina with photowalks, stage talks, workshops and more

So, the hottest day will be September 8 at 2PM New York time. The X summit will take place online, new products will be announced, and of course we will stream it live here on FujiRumors.

Then, on September 10, there will the Fujikina, with workshops, photowalks, stage talks and more. We reported about it here with links where you can register for free.

But guys, you don’t have to wait for September 8 or September 10 to have fun, as lots and lots of rumors will drop well before those dates ;)

Nice and original rumors of course ;).
