Sharpening Fujifilm X-TRANS files with No Wormy Artifacts in ADOBE and the X-T100 BAYER sensor has Worms, too!

Sharpening Fujifilm RAW Files

In our Debunking Fujifilm X-Trans Myths article, we already explained that you can get wormy-artifacts less results using Adobe products only. Sure, you have to sharpen differently compared to how you sharpen Bayer RAW files, but it is possible.

And it is curious to note that 2 products from the same company, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop, behave differently when it comes to X-Trans RAW sharpening. Out of the box, Photoshop works very well, Lightroom not so.

If you don’t use Photoshop, my recommendation is to use Irdient X Transformer as a Lightroom plug-in, so you take advantage of Iridient’s better default X-Trans demosaicing directly in Lightroom.

Anyway, the more X-Shooters make videos or write about how to get best sharpening results with X-Trans files, the better it is. We have to spread the word that you don’t have to live with wormy artifacts at all.

Fujifilm Says X-T20 is for Creative Hipsters, X-T100 of Outgoing People and X-A5 for Fashionable Women

Fujifilm Targets

For whom is the Fujifilm X-T100? What’s the target of the X-A5? And which people should pick the X-T20 over the X-T100?

Well, Fujifilm has a clear idea on this subject, as we can see from the media sheet above.

So, if you are a cool and outgoing person, you should take the X-T100 with selfie screen, if you are a creative hipster with good photography skills, then the X-T20 is the way to go, and if you are an active, fashionable woman under 30, the X-A5 is the camera you need.

That’s just a little curiosity, in case you wondered whom Fujifilm targets with their different entry and mid-range cameras.

For me this quick article is also a welcome opportunity to wish all US residents a fantastic independence day :) .

… have a GREAT day,

This is How Fujifilm’s Electronic Images Stabilization Works on X-T100

Fujifilm X-T100 EIS

The Spanish site Fujistas (youtube video) published a video that shows how the electronic image stabilization (EIS) works on the Fujfilm X-T100. It works only in video mode so far.

Mechanical OIS and IBIS will always work better, but the EIS is also quite effective, and I think we Fuji Lovers would not hate it to get this feature on other X series cameras, too.

Fujifilm X-T100 Page Gets Major Content Update and Win One Fujifilm X-T100 Every Month

Fujifilm X-T100

The Fujifilm X-T100 just hit the market, and Fujifilm is starting a marketing campaign as I haven’t even seen one for its high end models.

I’ve already reported about the dedicated Fujifilm X-T100 page a few times. Well, with the release of the X-T100, the page now got a major content update and Fujifilm also started a competition, where every month starting from now for the next 6 months, you can win a Fujifilm X-T100.

The contest is open for residents of: United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden.

The marketing effort Fujifilm puts into the promotion of the X-T100 shows how important this little camera is for Fujifilm.

I know that amongst FujiRumors readers, who are mostly enthusiasts and professional photographers, the X-T100 is not popular and does not grab much of our interest.

However, just like the extremely successful Fujifilm X-A5, the Fujifilm X-T100 might appeal to a very large target group that simply does not read FujiRumors or Fuji forums.

Finally Fujifilm offers not only a very affordable camera with selfie screen (like the X-A5), but also with an electronic viewfinder! A serious competitor to the Sony A6000, which is consistently at the very top of the bestseller mirrorless cameras (currently #1 at AmazonUS).

So good luck to the little X-T100…

… and in the meantime, here on FujiRumors we wait for the Fujifilm X-T3 ;) .
