Top 10 Best Selling Fujinon XF Lenses at BHphoto in the Last 12 Months

click the image to see the 4 best selling lenses on BHphoto of the last 12 months
click the image to see the 4 best selling lenses on BHphoto of the last 12 months

When 2023 kicked off, I shared this list of top selling Fujinon X and GFX lenses here on FujiRumors (as well as top selling cameras, accessories etc.). You can see the full list here.

The results for FujiRumors were the following:

  1. Fujinon XF 16-80mm f/4
  2. Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR
  3. Fujinon XF 150-600mm f/5.6-8
  4. Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4
  5. Fujinon XF 30mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro
  6. Fujinon XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR
  7. Fujinon GF 20-35mm f/4
  8. Fujinon XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR
  9. Fujinon GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6
  10. Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8
  11. Fujinon GF 50mm f/3.5 on par with Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR

Now B&H Photo has shared with Digitalcameraworld which ones were the 10 best selling Fujinon X mount lenses in the last 12 months at B&H Photo.

Here are the BHphoto best sellers:

  1. Fujinon XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR
  2. Fujinon XF 16-55mm f/2.8
  3. Fujinon XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 R LM OIS
  4. Fujinon XF 23mm f/2 R WR
  5. Fujinon XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR
  6. Fujinon XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR
  7. Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 R APD
  8. Fujinon XF 30mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro
  9. Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR
  10. Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR

You’ll note that in the BHphoto list you find the XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR and the XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR, which are totally absent in my list. This is probably because the BHphoto list includes January and February, and we know Fujifilm has launched sweet deals on those lenses (in fact I grabbed this discounted lens for myself too).

The small f/2 Fujicrons keep being favorites among X shooters.

The two biggest surprises to me are:

  • the XF56mm f/1.2 APD lens was selling strong in the last 12 months at BHphoto, and that despite the launch of the new XF56mm f/1.2 R WR, which has a wonderful smooth bokeh, too.
  • totally absent from the BH list is the Fujinon XF 16-80mm f/4, which on FujiRumors was by far the best selling lens, as it was sold in bundled with the Fujifilm X-T5 and therefore gave this lens a sales boost. Maybe BHPhoto only calculated the lens only sales, and ones sold as bundles?

As for the next 12 months, I am pretty sure the upcoming Fujinon XF 8mm f/3.5 will come out very high if not on top of the ranking.

These Specs Make the Fujifilm X-T5 Great for Landscape Photography

Tips for Landscape Photography, Using the Fujifilm X-T5

 by Reza Malayeri

Full disclosure: This article was brought to you by Adorama. Adorama did not pay FujiRumors to publish this article. But, as usual on FR, this article contains affiliate links.

The Fujifilm X-T5 is the culmination of five generations of evolution in Fuji’s X-Series lineup of mirrorless cameras. Released in November 2022 — nearly a decade after the release of the original X-T1 — the X-T5 features a revolutionary 40-megapixel X-Trans 5 HR sensor, X-Processor 5 AI image processing, and a more compact version of the beloved classic X-Series camera body. This makes it an optimal choice for landscape photography.

Weighing in at just 557 grams, the Fujifilm X-T5 is a lightweight powerhouse. The combination of the smaller size, weight, and high resolution 40-megapixel sensor is a joy to use and travel with. I’ve been enjoying the convenience of shooting landscape photography with such a compact setup. I can pack the X-T5 and several Fujifilm lenses into a small backpack to create stunning high-resolution images.

Fujifilm X-T5 for Landscape Photography

Higher Resolution and Increased Dynamic Range

Fujifilm has included several improvements to the X-T5 which make it an amazing camera for landscape photography. The all-new 5th generation X-Trans 5 HR CMOS sensor features an enhanced image processing algorithm that boosts resolution, without compromising signal to noise ratio. In addition to its enhanced image processing algorithm, the X-T5 also features an improved pixel structure, which allows light to be captured more efficiently. This also enables a lower base ISO value of 125. The combination of these two technologies offers increased dynamic range and higher resolution, both of which are highly desired features for landscape photographers.

CP+ Images: Fujinon GF30mmF5.6 Tilt Shift and GF/XF Roadmap Lenses, Tamron 11-20mmF2.8, Voigtländer 35mmF0.9 and 27mmF2

Fujifilm Digesting 2022

CP+ started today.

Fujifilm has not announced anything, but I guess we still have to digest all the stuff they launched last year, which was:

It’s fair to give Fujifilm a little break, given how busy they were in 2022.

Fujifilm 2023 Teasers

GFX SYSTEM

What Fujifilm did for CP+, is to tease upcoming products for 2023.

They showcase a mock-up of the upcoming Fujinon GF30mm f/5.6 Tilt Shift lens, but not of the Fujinon GF110mmF5.6 Tilt Shift, which, according to the statements Fujifilm managers did during the September X summit, should also come in 2023.

They also show a silhouette of the Fujinon GF55mm f/1.7, which personally is the lens I am looking forward the most. We already shared hands-on images of the GF55mmF1.7 here.

X SYSTEM

For the X system, we get a silhouette of the Fujinon XF8mmF3.5.

The Fujinon XF8mmF3.5 became part of the Fujifilm X mount roadmap and during the X summit in May 2022.

Fujifilm did share technical sketches of the lens in May already, and we used them to compare the size of the Fujinon XF8mmF3.5 to other wide angle lenses such as the Fujinon XF14mmF2.8, the Zeiss Touit 12mmF2.8 and the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 (but the Laowa has no autofocus.

Third Party Lenses

But if Fujifilm did not launch anything at CP+, to make the beginning of 2023 interesting for Fujifilm shooters are third party lens manufacturers.

We have the lovely Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8, a couple of new Voigtländer lenses, the Samyang 75mm f/1.8 as well as Sigma 23mm f/1.4 coming soon and even a couple of new AF Yongnuo lenses.

Some of those lenses are at display at the CP+ in Japan right now and you can find the images below in this article.

I will share all images in this article and below you can find the link to the sources.

& More

Not only autofocus lenses. Also the recently announced Tokina SZ 300mm PRO Reflex F7.1 MF CF is displayed at CP+,.
