Fujifilm GFX 50S firmware 3.20 and X-Pro2 firmware 5.00 Postponed to July

Fujifilm just announced that the Fujifilm X-Pro2 firmware ver. 5.00 and Fujifilm GFX 50S firmware ver. 3.20 have been delayed to “July 2018”.

Along with this announcement, they did release the new Fujifilm X-H1 and X-T2 firmware. All details here.

FUJIFILM Camera Remote Ver. 3.2.0 Released

Fujifilm just released Camera Remote ver.3.2.0. You can download the iOS version at the AppStore and the Android version at GooglePlay.

What’s New
Version 3.2.0

  • Now it supports firmware update for some cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability via smartphone or tablet devices.
  • Now it supports Bluetooth® wireless remote control camera shutter release for some cameras that offers Bluetooth® capability.
    *Above feature varies depending on what camera you use.

Today Fujifilm also released Fujifilm X-T2 and X-H1 Kaizen firmware updates, and they also announced that the Fujifilm GFX 50S and X-Pro2 firmware updates have been delayed to July.

Neewer 35mm f/1.2 Lens for Fujifilm X Mount Available for $119

The Chinese lens manufacturers are stepping on the gas in the last few years, and releasing lots of lenses for various mirrorless systems, including Fujifilm X.

Meike is one of them, and they released several lenses under various names (Kaxinda/Opteka/Voking/Mcoplus) and very likely also Neewer, which is the lens we are going to present today.

In fact, you can now find the Neewer 35mm f/1.2 lens for a cheap price only at AmazonUS here.

Fujifilm and Hollywood have a special feeling.

Not only because the gorgeous looking Fujifilm cameras seem to be very telegenic and hence are often used in movies, as we documented several times here on FR (and more will come), but also because Fujifilm X gear is actually used by professional photographers to capture the behind the scenes of big blockbusters, such as the X-Pro2 and XF 18-135 used to snap the official images of the highly awarded Dunkirk movie, as we reported here.

In today’s “Behind the X Gear” episode, we would like to meet one of those photographers, who work with Fujifilm gear on the biggest Hollywood sets: Barry Wetcher.
