The new firmware is here. Check it out!

A new X-E2 and X-M1 website

Do you recognize the guy on the left side? It’s Max Angeloni from riflessifotografici, and he made a little travel through time back to ancient Rome in the year 47 a.C. All he needed are: the X-M1, the 23mm, 35mm and the 18mm. Now see here at fujifilmxstories what you can make using “just” the X-M1 and a Tungsten lamp (250 Watts)!

And check out also Luca’s travel discovering the wild side of America through Canyons and deserts, always at fufilmxstories here. The site is Italian, but the images are universal. But you can find an English introductions to Max’s work in ancient Rome here.

Iridient alternate settings

Brian Griffith created some alternate Iridient Developer settings for the Fujifilm X-Trans cameras, mostly intended for use with ICC camera profiles created for Capture One, but they also include some new default ICC camera profiles that are a work in progress for possible inclusion in a future Iridient Developer release. Four settings files are included which have camera curves setup to be reasonably close matches to the four curve options in Capture One 7 (Standard, High Contrast, Extra Shadow and Linear). Instructions on use are included in the zip file that can be downloaded here.

Various example ICC profiles created to give looks similar to the in-camera styles (Provia, Astia, ProNeg, etc) can be downloaded from this dpreview.com forum thread (posted by Scottie Wang).
