Guys, let’s take a break from all the Fujifilm X-H1 buzz, and share a rumor that I am sure many of you will like :)
Let’s talk about the Laowa 9mm F2.8 for Fujifilm X, which we already leaked back in December here, and we showed further product images and samples in January here.
A FR-reader contacted Venus Optics and asked about the Laowa 9mmF2.8 for Fujifilm X. Well, Venus Optics answered that it will come in March and cost $499 ex-VAT in USA.

In fact, you might not have noticed it, but in Jonas Rasks’ Fujifilm X-H1 review, one image is actually taken with the Laowa 9mm F2.8. So he is one of the Beta testers of the Laowa 9mmF2.8.

I’m blogging on FujiRumors since over 6 years now, and I have rarely seen such a good start, especially in the overall digital camera ranking. Only the X-T line could regulary climb the ranking so quickly so high.
Sure, we have to be careful for now, before we say the X-H1 is a success. But a good start at AmazonUS is a good sign. Maybe Fujifilm has crafted another winner. Maybe X-shooters where really “hungry” for an IBIS camera. Time will tell. But I think we can be confident.
