Fujinon GF 110mm F2 WR LM

The Fujinon GF 110mm F2 WR LM will be announced on April 19. Just two days after my birthday :) .

Earlier this year, the estimated price of the 3 remaining GF lenses, including the Fujinon GF 110mm F2 WR LM, surfaced on the web. I reported about it already in the past here, but here is the rumored price again:

  • GF23mmF4 = $2599
  • GF45mmF2.8 = $1699
  • GF110mmF2 = $2799

Please take them with a grain of salt, not only because they could be wrong, but also because the price leaked a few months ago… enough time for Fujifilm to change the price tag.

My personal guess though, is that you should not be surprised if the GF110mm costs more than $2,800.

Along with the Fujinon GF 110mm F2 WR LM, Fujifilm should also announce the new Instax Square cameras, the already leaked Instax Square SQ and Instax Square SQ10.

The Instax Square SQ10 will be a hybrid digital/film camera. All details here.

[UPDATE] Godox Update: More Details about Fujifilm TTL/HSS Support (Including New X2 Trigger for Fujifilm in July)

For an entire month, the news was somewhere hidden on CheetahStand facebook page, until an attentive FR-reader (thanks) finally spotted it and shared it with us here. The news is now spreading quickly on the web, as usual ;) .

Anyway, since we broke the news today that Godox is working on Fujifilm support, something is moving, and more details just appeard on the web, always via CheetahStand here:

“Olympus and Panasonic TTL/HSS remote for Cheetah X series light come out first…I will test on May….Fuji coming right after that….Stay tuned“

Also FR-sources (thanks) quickly dropped me emails. Here is what I got from them:

  • The Godox X1 for Fujifilm will be released at the end of April, or beginning of May (HSS and TTL)
  • The new X2 trigger with Fujifilm support will be released in July

Godox Plans Major Fujifilm Support in April / May

CheetahStand (who sells rebranded Godox equipment under the name “Cheetah” – just like Samyang/Rokinon), published the Godox roadmap for Fujifilm support.

Here is the “Godox Plan”

Godox Plan:
TT350 Olympus and Fuji April-May 2017.
If TT350 is good, Move to 685 and V860II.
If all is good move to X1 Fuji and X1 Olympus.
The same time firmware update for all 2.4G light accept Fuji and Olympus
AD200 60 bulb LED light head May-June 2017.

I can now confirm via trusted source, that the Fujifilm X-E3 will come this year (2017). A new source said it will come fall 2017.

I would like to say thanks to every one of you guys, who helped me to make pressure on Fujifilm and to make them understand that it would be an epic error to kill the X-E line.

And now I’ll go out in rain and make a joyful dance :-)

Fujifilm reads you guys. Your opinions even make it into official Fujifilm meetings with the press or can push Fujifilm to drop plans on cameras like the monochrome X-Pro. So keep up commenting and sharing here on FujiRumors because…

Fujifilm GFX 50s: First “Significant” Firmware Update Coming in May – Source Right in the Past

According to a source, right in the past, the first “significant” Firmware update for the Fujifilm GFX 50s will come in May.

I don’t know at the moment what “significant” means exactly, but sure it sounds more than just a little bug fix. However, I doubt it will be a huge update like the one that the X-T2 and X-Pro2 recently got (and more will come at the end of May).

As always, it’s a firmware rumor, so even if the top Fuji manager itself would announce it, you should take it with a grain of salt.

However, it’s time for GFX owners to make their first Kaizen wish-list… so don’t hesitate, and drop it here in the comments. You know Fujifilm reads us ;)
