So here it is… our trusted sources inform us that Fujifilm will launch a brown Fujifilm X100F.

Lightroom and X-Trans

Adobe is preparing a (much needed!!) major Lightroom Classic CC performance update, and there is a very good news also for Fujifilm Lovers.

According to dpreview, the import of Fujifilm X-Trans RAW files will be dramatically improved. They write here:

When importing 130 Raw files from the Fujifilm X-T2 (7.6GB in total) and building “Standard” previews, we saw a major performance boost in LR Classic CC 7.2 on our quad-core 2015 MacBook Pro. Roughly 80%, in fact.

LR 7.1 – 4:05 (245 seconds)
LR 7.2 – 50 seconds

This update is not for those of us, who have the standalone version, which won’t get any updates anymore.

Yes, even the X-A5 Catalogue leaked already. And I thought I must dedicate an own article to one specific feature Fujifilm mentions in the X-A5 catalogue: “Multi Focus”, or, as Fujifilm says a mode that “automatically composes multi images to generate a sharp image with deep depth of field.”

In other words: focus stacking in camera!

And yes, I’m with you guys: I demand Kaizen Firmware for all other Fujifilm cameras! :)

As we told you weeks ago, the XC15-45 is a Power Zoom lens (hence Fujifilm printed PZ on the lens), meaning that by turning the zoom dial, you don’t mechanically zoom, but it’s a zoom-by-wire, so the zoom is powered by the camera.

The announcement of the X-A5, X-A20 and the XC 15-45 is expected to happen within a few hours.

The size of the X-A10 is identical to the one of the X-A20, so we can make a nice comparison between the XC16-50 and XC15-45. But it’s no surprise, because here on FR we already showed you weeks ago here the exact size of the lens, and the latest leak just confirms it ;)

The Fujinon XC15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ OIS will be bigger than Sony’s Power Zoom solution, the Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6, but I guess that Fujifilm tried to find the sweet spot between compact size and image quality.

Not a pancake zoom…. more of a muffin zoom ;)

And remember that Fujifilm outsourced the development of the X-A line, because they needed R&D money for the Fujifilm GFX. We reported about it here.
