The Big Thing Is Coming :: Don’t Miss It and Follow FujiRumors… and FR Might Go to Photokina (75% Sure of That)

In the next weeks, there will be a lot to read here on FujiRumors. I warmly recommend you to join FR on Facebook, RSS-feed and Twitter. It’s the best way not to miss the huge amount of real-time information that will be shared on this blog before, during and after Photokina.

And one more thing (just to answer all the emails I get in these days):

I might be at Photokina this year. It depends…. if… maybe…

Photokina: the Problem Between Me and My Happiness is…

… my school director!

I was able to get 3 days off, by changing the lessons schedule with my collegues. 3 days sound quite a bit, but actually it’s not, since Cologne is not really around the corner for me (2 days go lost just for driving to Cologne and then back home again).

But it’s still to see if my director will approve the lessons change. I have no influence on that. Waiting…

And if she says Yes… Follow Me on My Epic Car Drive through Europe!

If my director gives me the permission, then I’d be happy if you’d follow me on my epic car drive through Europe on Facebook and Twitter (only via social media. No “Spam” on the FR-blog ;)). I’ll bring you all the way right into the heart of the Fuji booth, where the MF Fuji is waiting for us… and maybe I can say a very quick Hello also to the Fuji Guys ;).

Oh… and if I’m not too busy with the blogging in the evening, I’ll also ask via social media if there is somebody around, who’d like to take some shots (of Tequila first and with our X-camera later).

So will I get the permission of my director? Follow FR on Facebook and Twitter and you’ll discover it soon.

Can We Meet?

I can imagine I’ll get quite a few requests now “hey let’s meet here and there and on that day“… but since my time is extremely limited, I’ll have a hard time to do any individual meetings. Moreover, I don’t know for sure if I can go. So at the moment I have nothing booked and I have no possibility to organize anything. It’s all a super-last minute thing if it works out… and the only thing I can do, is to eventually tell you where I’m hanging out via Facebook and Twitter… always hoping that I won’t have to stay closed in my room with a take-away pizza due to the extreme blogging that will expect me soon.

I can’t make any promise, nothing is sure, so don’t be disappointed if I can’t go to PK or if I can’t meet you… but if I can go, even for just one day, then I’ll put my best into it to make it an awesome experience… and you’ll for sure find me the whole day at the Fuji Booth.

And if the air conditioner cooling the Fuji Booth is too cold, I’ll warm-up myself at the Sony booth, where all these overheating cameras are ;-) – just kidding Sony… love your innovation.

Did Fujifilm Invite me or Pay my Travel?

No, Fujifilm did not invite me to Photokina. They don’t pay me a business class flight to Cologne, they don’t pay for my gasoline or my Photokina Ticket, and I don’t have any meeting arranged with them (and I don’t even try to ask for that, since, well, who follows me in the comments will know about our “relationship problems” ;) ).

I’m a simple mere mortal X-shooter, who pays all his travel to Photokina with his own hard-earned money and will attend the event there just for the joy to be surrounded by all that photographic goodness and fellow like-minded photo-geeks ;) .
