PDNonline confirms the Fuji lens roadmap (and adds small bits of info)

PDNonline (Click here) posted the Fuji lens roadmap and added some info about the aperture of most of these lenses:

2012
•    14mm (21mm equivalent) super wide
•    18-72mm f/4 (27-108mm equivalent) image stabilized zoom
2013
•    23mm f/2 (34mm equivalent) wide
•    28mm f/2.8 pancake design (42mm equivalent) normal
•    12-24mm f/4 (18-36mm equivalent) image stabilized zoom
•    70-200mm f/4 (105-300mm equivalent) image stabilized zoom

As you see the only lens that lacks an aperture info is the 14mm lens. Fuji marketing said it shoudl be somewhere between f/1.4 and f/2.0. I guess it will be the second :)

  • to Admin:

Any idea on what the lower cost system camera (lower than the X-Pro anyway) would be like?

Also, any other tasty rumours on other X series developments ?

    :)

    • No idea, but I am working on it :)

  • And any news on when we’ll be able to have a X Pro 1 on our hands???

  • Appreciate it – it’s gone awfully quiet!

    • They hype bubble was busted by the last +€1800 price for body only preorder!

      • I know, looks like its gonna be the OM-D for me personally. Plenty of lenses around and I trust Oly more to get it right 1st time.

Based on my experience with the X10 I cannot say the same for poor old Fuji. They’re on the right track, but no way I’m blowing £1400 on a body alone. I’m sure its gonna have a ton of quirks as well.

Still, like where the company is going, just not there yet, not by a long way.

  • I am hoping to see a fast 90mm for portrait work. 60mm being the longest prime and at f/2.4 it is not real fast. 90mm f/2 would be perfect.
