New Fuji X-E1 camera images and lens tests.

Popco posted a set of X-E1 images. Some of them are so well made that it really makes you want to get the camera today :)

Quick fujifilm XF18-55mm F2.8-4.0 R LM OIS lens hands-on at Cnet Asia: “we found it comparable with most 18-55mm kits lenses in terms of speed. However, images were very sharp, and the F4 aperture at the long end does give a more pleasing background blur than most kit lenses.

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18 mm f/2 R test at Lenstip: “You can honestly say the Fujinon XF 18 mm f/2R is a well done lens, fully recommendable to those users who understand what they are buying and what the limits of such a purchase are.

  • What a stunning camera, but what is Fuji thinking when it constantly puts that tacky silver looking shutter/on off switch on every silver body!

    • I noticed that as well. It’s even funnier when a company like Hasselblad or Phase One has press images shot with a Nikon or a Canon. But then again, how many X-E1′s are out in the wild at this moment?

      • A very nice demonstration of the capabilities of the E-M5. How embarrassing… and I say this as someone who pre-ordered the X-E1, moving away from the m43 system. Makes me hesitate… :-)

  • How stupid and humiliating for them.
What on earth are thinking of?

    • I suspect their next set of sample would use samsung cameras, ha, ha,….

Their press release would say something like :” We have our advertising budget under control, or some other similar BS !”

    • Yes, you should definitely cancel your order based on some misleading comments from fanboyz and trolls. Maybe mine will ship earlier.

      • Just don’t care about them.

  • Why are you assuming that these are official Fuji promo shots? These are just well produced shots for a Japanese website/magazine.

    • I don’t, I just said that these promo images are taken with Oly ;)

  • Were these taken for Fujifilm or by Fujifilm in some way? As part of a Fujifilm press package?

If you check the page, they appear to be copyrighted by the site that’s hosting them (not Fujifilm) so maybe they were shot by some person working at the blog/website and they just used whatever camera they had laying around to shoot the photo’s with?

Didn’t anyone think of this before posting the m43 fanboi comments?

    • I totally agree! I don’t think this website is related to Fujifilm in any way. I once took a photoshoot with an old Rolleicord as model, taken with my Nikon camera. Same principle.

    • just for your info, X100 shooter here with X-E1 on pre-order – there’s nothing wrong with pointing out that an image has been taken with camera X from manufacturer Y – X-Pro1 images, official ones were taken with Nikon D3X – are you gonna call me a full frame fanboi now? grow up and deal with it

  • nice looking camera!!

  • I just wished it had manual control for videos.

  • i check my “open orders” on amazon a few times a day. ;) can’t wait for it to ship!!

  • What you said was-

“LOL!!! those promo images have been taken with Oly EM-5″

And this is the usual cry of the troll when found-

“grow up and deal with it”

that just cements what I suspected. Because you can’t sing trolololol song without “lol”. I’m pretty sure you’re supposed under a bridge somewhere to scare three billy goats.

    • yep that’s what I do all day long ;) I’m a bit old for trolling but if you like it that way then I don’t mind. just a small hint – you can click ‘reply’ next to my comment to keep it relevant

  • WEX (warehouseexpress) now also list X-E1 kit – £1149 ;)
