I doub tit will be given the X series lenses but at least hopefully the sensor will be much improved. X-pro1 is very good for close up technical shots but does not do well for landscape shots. X Pro 2 hopefully with have deeper color, more megapixels and detail and produce more realistic looking distance/landscape type shots.

This firmware fix is going to be fantastic. If the focus-by-wire actually gets fixed properly, and feels even close to useable, then I might start using my 35 a LOT more. I’m still holding my breathe for them to release some kind of rangefinder overlay for the viewfinder (not sure if possible to overlay a small part of the EVF over the OVF). That is the one fix that I think would make this camera a serious winner. It wouldn’t be a true rangefinder, but if it works like one, I’m fine with that.
