7 months ago |actually i can’t see any improvement..
it seem, as before, that in MF, usinf AE-L/AF-L button the lens hunt more than in AF mode,. and this seem the same as before with FW 2.00
at least with 35 and 60mm, if there is an improvement actually i can’t see it in normal use…

7 months ago |Actually, I’m seeing a big difference with both the 18mm and the 35mm – in good light. It’s noticeably faster locking focus using AE-L/AF-L while in MF mode, but shooting pure AF mode has also improved, even in lower contrast situations. Again, I quantify this by saying “in good light”; in low light, I’m still getting some hunting, and that’s with the AF assist light on. Personally, ever since the 2.0 update, I’ve primarily shot MF using the EVF and have been thoroughly satisfied with the results for the very reason that AF was previously slow (and also inconsistent in low light). This AF 2.01 improvement is a pleasant surprise, and I’m happy to see Fuji applying some kaizen to this system.
My only quibble with Fuji right now is that I’m dying for the 23mm on the X-Pro 1 to give me 35mm equivalent for street. I’m using a 24mm Minolta MC Rokkor, but the quality of the Fuji lenses is impressive enough that the 23mm can’t come fast enough.

You’re right. I saw the difference in AF mode, too.
But, about the 23mm 35mm. What if Fuji release a Full frame X pro body and 35mm is capable on FF sensor
, Lol, this have just flashed in my mind. As Fuji claim, some wide lens cannot cover FF sensor but 35mm is not really wide.
