Finally, it’s done, the dice have been cast! It’s time to be on the road for Fujirumors, along with 2 good friends, a Nikon and an Olympus shooter. Two weeks of holidays (starting from tomorrow) with Fujirumors should be enough to convert them to the X-world. ;-)

Now, I’ve listened to your feedback, and the travel-lens poll (see bottom of this post) was pretty clear. The first three positions went to the 18-55mm (1st), the 35mm (2nd) and the 23mm (3rd). Thanks to all for your suggestions and your help. If I get some decent shots, I’ll share them at the  FR-facebook photostream.

I therefore opted for the flexibility of the 18-55 as you recommended (and as Trenton said, if drinking is involved, better to take the 18-55, as it has OIS :-D ), and for the 35mm. And, as I already have the fast 35 prime in my camslinger, I will not take also the 23 as my third lens.

So the decision was between the XF 10-24 and the XF 55-200 (4th and 5th in the ranking). I decided to take the 55-200 because: 1) I still don’t own the 10-24 – 2) I need the 55-200 to photograph wildlife. But it hurts a bit to leave the 14mm at home for that extra wide dramatic landscape photography. However, the 18-55, 35, and 55-200 trinity covers pretty much everything.

And do not worry. I have all I need to run Fujirumors also during this trip. I have the 11″ MacBook Air with (claimed) 9 hours of battery and my iPhone5 is equipped with the Mophie Juice 100% Battery-Cover. That should give me enough battery power to keep you posted in any moment of the day (I’ve just to find a WiFi somewhere).

Therefore, stay tuned on Fujirumors 24×7, 365 days a year… and for free.

Oh, and I’ll store my X-E2 (which is $200 off until tomorrow in USA) with the 35 and 18-55 in my Camslinger bag. It’s an amazing bag, and I can’t think of any other bag that gives me faster access to my safely stored camera than this one. I adjusted a bit the size of the bag, and, as you can see, the X-E2 with 35mm and 18-55 fits perfectly in the Camslinger 160 (sorry, I noticed that in the first image I didn’t push the X-E2 all the way down into the camslinger 160, therefore it looks a bit out of the bag… just my fault. So I shared another image at the bottom where you can see that it really fits perfectly). The 55-200 will remain in my rucksack.

I wish you all a great weekend,
