Regular FR will know it since a few weeks now, when the Japanese source told me that the black X100S would come at the CES. A couple of days ago Digicame-info confirmed it, and now I’ve got feedback from an anonymous source who says it too: the black X100S will be announced at the CES.

According to another source, drphotorumor, there are no other X-series cameras coming at the CES. As already leaked, there will be some FinePix cameras like the S1, XP70, S9200 and S9400W.

A good reason to look forward to the CES is the XF 56mm f/1.2 lens. Sources told me that the announcement will be on January 6th. The exact time? I don’t know, but Fuji often announced its products at 5AM London Time. If you want to be high on the pre-order list to avoid long waiting times, you should not sleep at that time. But, of course, I’ll see if I can find out the precise time for you.

Fuji could also update the roadmap on that day.

One more thing: if the 56mm is what you need and want to pre-order it, feel free to use one of the shoplinks (Amazon, Bhphoto and Co) I’ll share on this blog on that day. Fujirumors will get a small commission on it, but you won’t be charged with a single penny extra. If Fujirumors is still here, then it’s just because of this kind of support. With your support you’ll allow me to keep this site running also in 2014.

cheers,
